Does Kyrie cast that much of a shadow that guys struggle to play freely?

This is Minnesota with injuries

I am just talking in general. Seems like when he is out other guys play better...ala the playoffs last season

Rozier and Smart definitely look better with the ball in their hands.

Rozier is different as a starter. I really dont want to give him away for nothing.

I wish we didn't have to either, but it will probably be better for him as a player and his development.

But  more so our team salary lol I'll be surprised if he gets less than $15M per year for four years. Can't have that plus Smart at $12M per year off the bench, assuming that we eventually get Hayward and Brown back in the starting lineup.

I'll take the under on $15 mill per.  He's not even shooting 40% and is not the playmaker or defender Smart is.  His playoff run will be more than a year in the past when he becomes a FA.

Someone is going to vastly over pay Rozier.

we just need to make sure we get in return a guy who can make us better and KNOW THEIR ROLE

If we could pick up a 3 and D guy on a cost controlled salary it would be ideal.
i'm betting semi will fill that role soon.

Minnesota is just not very good. Them and N.O. need to burn it down.

Speaking of NO, it's the early 3rd and they are down by 25 to the Nets, and Davis is playing too...

Davis is gone. He can't stay there. Danny has to go all in for in as soon as he can. Cannot allow the Lakers to get him and Leonard to play with LeBrick

2 things have to happen

1. Just hope he's still a Pelican AFTER the trade deadline. We can't trade for him before then while LAL can.

2. Ainge has to hope LAL's offer isn't that great and/or Jaylen/Kings Pick increases in value a bit, otherwise he may be forced to give up Tatum in a deal  :o

I think there's something too that.  When he's out, guys feel they have the green light and are more aggressive.  They need to learn to play like this with Kyrie.  That's not on Kyrie because I don't think he's been selfish.  That's on the other guys and Brad.

Smart becoming a fundamentally better player. Making better decision.

The Celts play harder, tougher, with more grit and work together better when certain talent is missing.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce
