...for the past month.  It hasn't been on the C's injury reports.

Quote
After the Boston Celtics dropped a 127-113 loss to the Houston Rockets on Thursday, Jaylen Brown sat in the locker room with a bulky wrap covering his hand.

Brown had a solid game, finishing 7-for-12 from the floor with 19 points, but he was 1-for-4 from three and 3-for-5 from the free-throw line.

“It’s annoying, man,” Brown said, when asked about the hand injury. “I’ve been working with that for the last month and a half or so. Just trying to be there for my team and also just play through ... but it’s definitely been bothering me.”

Brown hurt his hand against the Dallas Mavericks on Nov. 24. He landed hard in the fourth quarter on his tailbone and missed time with a bruise, but he also suffered a contusion on his hand -- an injury for which he was questionable.

Obviously this doesn't completely explain his struggles this season - he shot just 36% from the field and 32% from 3 in October.  And his shooting percentages this month are better than in November  (45% from the field vs. 42% in Nov, and 30% from 3 vs. 21% in Nov).  Whatever is going on that hand sure isn't helping.  But it might explain why he's choosing to dunk on people with his left hand over recent games (in your face Giannis).

I'd just also like to remark that if his hand is really bothering him, it doesn't make sense for him to keep firing away from 3.  Keep going to the bucket Jaylen.

It begs the question: Why is he playing?
There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, 'Thy will be done,' and those to whom God says, 'All right, then, have it your way.'

You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.

It begs the question: Why is he playing?
same thought popped into my head.  only thought that came to mind is that it's something that rest won't address and/or something that requires season-ending surgery to fix.

Get the surgery. He is hurting the team right now, shooting 27% from three.

The article says it was a contusion, i.e., a bruise.  Why would he need surgery?

I knew something had to be behind this, maybe this is why he does not dunk as much because it hurts.

has plantar fasciitis too IIRC from very early in the season and that bone bruise but if they don't put it in the reports it's hard for us to keep up.

I still think there is more going on with him. like him having time over the offseason to sit and think about his friend killing himself instead of such a busy schedule during the season when there is very little down time. then his friend bird's troubles and him being under JB's mother's supervision too.

those things or maybe I'm just hoping there are reasons and that his play will eventually return to last season's form or better...
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

I'm a doctor and i saw alot patient with contusion in everywhere of their body, every single time i will suggest them to rest until it's fully recovered , a contusion definitely can be enhanced or cause new injuries during strong physical activity like NBA basketball

Because the Celtics never lie about injuries, right?

Bone transplant?   ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
