Not likely that Hield winds up in green until the downside of the cycle, 2027 or later, if at all. Boston is overflowing with good wings as it is, and they’re all better defenders than Hield.

Love Sabonis. Gets you the ball on both boards, scores at the rim and the line, gets you to the line. Really good passer, though careless. Kudos to Indiana for having him included in the Paul George deal (along with Oladipo!).

You’re right that Boston could’ve had either of them over Brown, but then they wouldn’t have had Brown. A lot of people are down on him right now but that’ll change.

After seeing Brown smash it over Giannis off-footed and do a euro step into a slam, I'm surprised the anti-Brown camp hasn't simmered down a bit, at least for this week

Three and D guys with the combination of size, strength, and quickness to cover guards, wings, and stretch bigs are rare and more valuable than any other position apart from superstar offensive creators.  Jaylen has the chance to become that kind of player.

I mean, even if his offensive game doesn't develop a lot beyond becoming more reliable as an outside shooter, if he's also an elite defender and can score well in transition, he could be a very valuable supporting piece. Look at what Trevor ariza did as a young guy on the Lakers, and as an older player for the wizards and rockets.

In a vacuum Sabonis - 4 years younger, & would seemingly suit CBS better. Over JB? Probably neither. He has the highest potential of the bunch

I wanted Hield in the draft, but I voted for Sabonis as the greater need for the front-court.

That said, Brown has a chance to be the best of the bunch.
