Speedy recovery to Baynes....

Two words
Time lord

I’m a huge fan of Timelord but let’s be honest he’s got plenty of improving to do. Love the flashy dunks and blocks but I think he needs to do a better job defending the pick and roll and just switching in general. Hes offensively limited but we don’t need him to score, we need him for defense and to get boards for us. Obviously the more he plays the more comfortable he will be in the teams defensive schemes and his effort is first class.

This will be a baptism of fire defending the rim against Giannis on friday though
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

With Horford out also they need a center now for sure to help Williams and Theis out..any free guys out there?

Maybe the Bulls will buy out Robin Lopez...

Unless we have someone in Bulls management that is looking out for us like James Johnson of the Suns did for LeBron by waiving Chandler so that they could pick him up then it ain't happening.

Like former Celticsblogger / lifetime Celtics fan / Chicago Bulls Assistant GM Steve Weinman?

His role is "Manage salary cap and future planning", so maybe he can do us a solid, haha.

Williams needs to start. He fits in well with the starting unit.

They also need to allow him to shoot a jump shot occasionally. Don't want to be too predictable.

He is a rookie, not a seasoned vet

He knows that and his statement has that in mind.

We're going to miss him badly. We saw it last night what a difference Baynes makes. He sets hard screens, boxes out, protects the rim and can shoot a little. I feel that his contributions have been underrated. Now we have to rely on Horford, Theis, Williams and Yabusele, who all are either not true centers, good rebounders or inexperienced.

But we just have to go through this, such injuries can happen during the playoffs as well. It will be a great learning experience for Williams and Theis.

However to win a championship I believe we have to upgrade our front court and get an All Star big (please Davis).

Why not just say he needs to improve every aspect of his game? this is meaningless to say about a rookie

Can’t believe this.

Really? Thought it was the following defensive play...

It was already broken before that dunk - he dunked it with his right hand and on the replay you can see him shaking the left even as he's coming up the lane to get the pass. He took a light low-five on his left from I think Kyrie afterward and it was clearly really painful.

Well, he is key defending Embid.  No one else in our roster can.

Horford's better at it than Baynes is. He's a heck of a second guy to throw at a talent like Embiid though.
