I will be a lot happier if Williams spends the time he would preparing and performing in the dunk contest by studying and learning more about the Celtics defensive system and playbook. I would rather have him becoming a solid part of this rotation than becoming a slam dunk champion. Dee Brown and Gerald Green won dunk contests as Celtics. What the hell good did it do them?

It shortened Dee Brown's career. He blew his knee out on one of those dunks and was never as explosive again.

Williams needs to talk to Bill Russell, if he hasn't already. Maybe Stevens should also talk to Bill Russell.

Oh sure, Dunk contest can injure a player, and not daily basketball practice?

It could shorten careers just like it shortened Vince Carter's
