Who will be the team to sign Jimmer Fredette? What are teams waiting for? I'm seeing a bunch of players he can shoot better than...this is his NBA more so now than it was when he was drafted. Maybe he has a huge buyout clause since he's a draw.

Why not cut Bird and plug him in with the 2nd unit with Rozier, Hayward, Brown?

He has a shoe deal with a Chinese company.  I'm guessing it wouldn't make financial sense to come back to the NBA.

He said that he wants to be back in the NBA this week.

Jimmer is a heck of a ball player, but unfortunately he's not athletic enough to guard any one in the NBA and is ineffective without a usage rate of 150+.  He is the man, though.

No, even if he could cut it in the NBA. While his position might look like a match for Bird, there are important differences. Jabari had upside, maybe a lot of it; so while he was buried in the depth chart he was worth developmental minutes and coaches’ time.  Bird is 6’6”, long, and athletic.

Jimmer turns 30 in February. Moreover, he’s a classic tweener - a 2 in a 1’s body (6’2”), with nothing special, in terms of strength or speed, to compensate for it.

In any case, the probability is zero.
'I was proud of Marcus Smart. He did a great job of keeping us together. He might not get credit for this game, but the pace that he played at, and his playcalling, some of the plays that he called were great. We obviously have to rely on him, so I’m definitely looking forward to Marcus leading this team in that role.' - Jaylen Brown, January 2021

And oh, I think that you’re mistaken if you think that Brown will come off the bench going forward.
