When the top defensive team in the league suddenly allows 65 pts in the first half alone to a team that barely scores 50 then you have a problem.

Burying ourselves and trying to get out of this pitting quicksand we are in is always a bad thing.

I frankly have no idea to fix this as we are getting the shots we wanted but not making them... But to let a scrub team score at will.. Then there is something really wrong with the Cs.

So I'm not listening to Gorman/Tommy (on mute) -- so I'm not hearing how frequently C's have given 2nd chance points.  But seems like Kantor has cleaned up half-dozen misses or so.  Unbelievably frustrating.

On the bright side, Knicks might be cooling and C's appear to be putting the ball in the hoop finally. Still a sickly 1 for 13 from 3.

C's need to dominate the 2nd half.

Yeah, Kanter with 5 offensive boards, I think every one of them ended up with the Knicks scoring

yep all put back or scored
LET'S GO CELTICS!

Need to find a way to limit NYK offensive rebounds

Need to find a way ? Are you kidding me ?

It's no big secret - you make it a priority, you work, you block out the opponent, you work harder, you play aggressively, you work harder still, you refuse to be denied a rebound and you keep working very hard !!

At least it’s not Evan Turner 2.0’s fault ;)

I don't understand why the Knicks guards keep easily getting into the paint against our defense.

Our top rated D giving up 65 points in the first half to the Knicks is awful
Knicks guards are also hot shooting from outside.

Yeah, but we could live with that , they can't keep it up. Letting teams shoot layups and putbacks all night though is the stuff that leads you to being down 20

Its an illusion.  Sure, there getting into the paint but what makes them look so good are the outside shots they’re hitting.  Burke has 18 largely on long low percentage shots that are going in.

It’s a male miss league.  And the three point shooting issues continue. One for 13 is hideous and while we can call it a fluke, there’s probably more to it. Guys are comfortable and the offense overall is ragged at best.  Add the fact that we don’t have pure shooters and this is what we get.

What I’m not sure is what it’s going to take to turn it around?

It's all in their heads at this point. Their confidence and morale is low and when they miss shots they know they should be making the group collectively panics because they know they will be hammered for it by media, coach, fans, etc at the end of the game and it then manifests themselves in other parts of their game, particularly on the defensive end.

They need a sports psychologist is what they need. Either that or some shots to start falling to give them some confidence.

Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

The offense is stil the issue.  I honestly think the bad offense is affecting the defense as well.

To be fair, kanter always kills us because that’s the only thing he does.

You may be exactly right.  With young players especially they let their shooting woes impact their def.  They are still thinking  / worrying about that last shot they missed, or turnover they made, and then the def goes to Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline..

I'm not sure what I'm more disappointed by, our defense or our offense.  According to Mike the Knicks have been giving up 125 points per game on their 6 game losing streak.  We mustered 18 in the 1st quarter.

But watching our defense give up so many points to Burke, Vonleh, and Robinson is pretty nausea-inducing as well.

Just tough to watch.

Yikes down 16 to the Knicks... This is pathetic. Any team in the nba can beat us right now.

What we lack is a guy like Larry bird who played with the same competitive drive regardless of who the opponents are.
Every team lacks a Larry Bird lol

Lol I don't mean literally. Just a leader with a strong competitive drive day in day out, we don't have it.
Lol ik, was just joking for a bit. I'd trade Hayward, Kyrie and Horford for prime Larry Bird though

Oh yea I would make that trade in a split second.
