Based on what we've seen so far, "the Celtics" should be at the top of that list.

Toronto it is, then...

I voted Milwaukee, but makes sense for Toronto to lead with the Kawhi effect.  :D

There are NBA fans around who already discount the Celtics and expect a match-up between Toronto and Milwaukee in the conference finals.

Although I'm very disappointed in what we've seen so far I do believe can turn it around. We just need some rotation changes to improve our interior defense and getting a couple of players back in rhytm by defining their roles. Above all we need more discipline on defense, ball movement and shot selection. Brad Stevens has work to do.

Anyway Toronto and Milwaukee will be very tough to beat. The competition in the East is a lot tougher this year than last year (which is ironic, since LeBron is gone).

I still think it is Toronto, but Philly just got a whole lot better and Milwaukee is going to be a tough out.  Seeding is going to play a big role in how the playoffs shape up as match-ups and home court are going to be very important.

philly should be better, yes that toughens the east.  on the bright side, i was concerned for the slow start in that if we got the 1 seed in the east we would only have to play one of bucks or raptors.  Now there isnt much of a discernible difference in the quality of the opponent in the second round...(of course we may match up better against one or the other) the only huge benefit is home court, which IS very important, but if we don't get our act together we wont make it past the second round anyways.

right now, the standings are reflecting exactly what we are.  fifth best in the EC.

True in that, I wouldn't want to face the Celtics in the first round if I was any of those teams...but, we have big issues right now.

Hayward minutes restrictions are really messing our rotations

I think Philly and Milwaukee are the toughest out.  Why? because now, Philly if you start JJReddick, they are good at just about every position.  As for Milwaukee, we don't have an answer for Giannis.

The Celtics. Tripping over ourselves a little, still.

If we reach out potential, then Toronto.

Still think Toronto.

Adding Butler helps PHI no doubt but ultimately if Fultz and Simmons still can't shoot well then it honestly won't matter much. Ultimately it will be up to this team to reach its potential and to get better, hopefully starting to hit their stride from mid-December onwards.
