I predict Stevens hands this team their ass at halftime and they roar back to win this.

I don't. I don't think Stevens has that in him.

This team is just bad.  We were better without Kyrie and Hayward. We payed tough and hard without the stars.  We have lost our mental toughness and attitude expecting the stars to lead us. Pathetic game even if they play better in the second half.  Going to bed ver annoyed.

I was genuinely concerned about chemistry with GH back---I remembered how out of place he looked last year during preseason.

Something's gotta change.

I saw the same thing. But it can't be on his shoulders 100%

This team is predicated on 3 pointers, step backs and fade aways. They simply have no desire to play inside
they’ve actually taken more inside shots this game than they have all year. Problem is they are 5-23 or something from the inside
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

I'm hoping for a big dose of Robert Williams in the second half. Maybe we'll see an assist from Rozier. I can't remember the last time he got one....

They’re a team afraid of contact.

We need 2005 Paul Pierce, someone who is going to draw contact and get to the line

I think the Dancing bear appearance is an omen.

The bear is playing in "talking stick arena"

This must have spiritual significance and Stevens is all in on it.

"You are my down by 20 in the second quarter guy! Go get'em!"

Brad Stevens has done a horrible job so far this year. He has had plenty of credit over the years and rightfully so but how many more games like this before he starts getting called out? No excuse there is too much talent to be getting spanked by a lottery team and possibly their 3rd loss in a row.

You'll be waiting a long time. Stevens can do no wrong on this site.
I dunno, he's been copping lots of flak (for good reason) as of late. Not sure what you've been seeing, but his rotations, timeout timing, and seeming lack of ability to motivate players has all been talked about

I'm really only here for the game threads anymore due to being busy at work, but I surely don't see much deserved criticism for Brad in those. In fact, I usually get scolded for bringing up any type of criticism about his in-game decision-making.

But good if people here are starting to hold him accountable and not blindly exalting him as the messiah anymore. He's a good coach, but I think at this point he's overrated, as he is just not that great at in-game/on the fly decision-making, which really hampers all that you said (rotations, timeout calling, etc.). And now add motivating players to the list.
Maybe you're right, I could just be projecting how I've been thinking lol. But I think after the Denver game and this one people are definitely getting on him

it's like everyone who stepped up in Kyrie and Hayward's absences last year have regressed to worse than their rookie year summer league performances.  just awful play by the young players (as well as Hayward)

Bench Kyrie and Hayward, and pretend it's last year.

Starting to think next year might be the time. Hayward's going to take a full year to get healthy. Kyrie also.

I just don't have any other explanation. GH looks pedestrian

Here's a hot take: Brad can only coach underdogs. Maybe too much talent = too much overthinking.

Brad isn't shooting the basketball.

He needs to show some balls in that locker room. This is sad.

TP. The alter boy/nice guy persona only works so much.
