Best PF for the next decade? Tatum, Simmons, or Luka?

Tatum -
20 years old. Best scorer of the bunch. Doesn't have the playmaking of the others, but has elite scorer potential. And yes, I see his future as a 4 when you consider his body will continue to fill out coupled with the small ball game of today.

Simmons-
22 years old. Most athletic of the bunch, but his problem will always be the shooting.

Doncic-
19 years old. Best combination of playmaking/scoring of all 3, but has the worst athletic ability. Excellent feel for the game and Carlisle has put him in a position to excel by playing the 4.

Good question but I think Tatum is the only PF of the three.  Simmons is a point guard, and Luka is going to have the ball in his hands a lot also.

I don't know that I'd call any of those 3 a PF, but if I could have any one of them for the next decade I'd take Simmons followed closely by Tatum with Doncic a very very distant 3rd.

I agree.  I've been blown away with this kid's talent.  Can do all (ie. pass shoot and rebound).  Tatum and Simmons can do only two of those three.  Still, Tatum is the best scorer and defender i think.

Simmons has the highest ceiling of the group, as he is a good jumper away from being in the discussion for the best player in the league. However, between his public attitude regarding the topic and the results on the court so far, he’s not anywhere near making that a reality.

If he doesn’t develop a jumper, he still has the ability to be the best of the three, but it becomes more likely that Luka or Tatum pass him. I think Tatum has the edge in this scenario, as he has the length and athleticism to be a transcendent defensive force.

Completely agree. Voted Doncic, even though I disagree that either Simmons or Doncic are PF’s.

I would take Doncic over anyone on this team not named Tatum. Even with Tatum, I’d likely consider Doncic over him. Better passer than Tatum will ever be, a better defender currently and similarly developed scoring arsenals. Every day Doncic reminds me more and more of Bird

It's going to be interesting watching Luka develop physically over the next couple of years.

NBA diet...NBA training facilities....NBA weight rooms...

Whatever he may lack athletically will be minimized somewhat.

As incredible a player he is right now he will get better.

Man! Listening to that DAL crowd "Ooooooh" and "Aaaaah" with some of his plays will NEVER get old.
