Celtics players going to a movie together is a bold claim?

Yes it is, especially when all factual details are consciously avoided. Always take rumors like these with a big grain of salt folks.

Big time rumor. Should definitely be taken with a grain of salt. Not plausible whatsoever.

Horford, Yabu, Wanamaker and Morris just walked right by me at the movie theater and apparently, there are more on the way. Horford has been in and out, including to get his wife. They were all very nice.

No idea what they were seeing, since they rented out the whole theater next to us.

Mike

If it isn’t weird, would you care to disclose which theater? I’m in college in the area, and my friends and I wanted to see a movie tonight. There are worse places to go than the theater your favorite team is at.

it would be weird since they rented out the whole theater.

I should say that they rented out theater X, and we were next door in theater Y. It was a multi-plex.

The parking lot was really dark and I went about five miles per hour. I didn't want to be known as the guy who knocked out Hayward for a second season. My wife doesn't want to leave Boston.

It's typical for people to make bold claims on anonymous forums such as these and be unable to substantiate them with any details.
You must be fun at parties. Not like it's publicly available knowledge that they were hanging out at the time, and in fact, were seeing a movie.

You're right, I just made it up. You've found me out. I decided that, since my fifteen minutes of fame were never going to come, I would go to CelticsBlog and make up a rumor that I saw the Celtics at the movies so that my name would be known far and wide, and that I could take all the Tommy Points that I earned and finally buy that pony that I've always wanted. It had nothing to do with the fact that I saw some players at the movies and wanted to share it with at least a few people who might understand my excitement.  ::)

Jeez, I know that the internet has made the world a little more cynical, but just once, perhaps it's okay to accept something at face value.

Thanks for the thread. It's always interesting to hear the team hanging out.

Your post wasn't even outlandish. They're athletes, but they're still human beings that go to dinner, movies, etc. That said, I would consider the source and his dubious nature.

Thanks @Eddie20. I don't actually know the source, but I'll keep an eye out.

Looks like someone got body-bagged.

Good to see team comradery like that.  I've always felt that all the team bonding stuff the '07-08 team did prior to that season played a key role in how dominant that team became that season.  Would love to see a repeat of it this year with the same ending.

The theater employees were just as bowled over as I was but were very respectful of the Cs' privacy. My wife and I stood out in the hall chatting with them (the employees) for quite a while. LOTS of Celtics fans this year.

TP for the inside information.

I love hearing that the team is hanging out off the court. I think that stuff goes a long way.
