There was a small clip he posted on his insta, but here is an 8 minute vid where T-Mac’s showing him all these different mid range/post up moves. I love it. Jaylen is like T-Mac in a lot of ways (freakish athleticism, tall SG, poster, etc). Great dude to model his game after.

I honestly feel like Jaylen is hungry to learn. He is going to keep getting better and better for years to come. I feel sorry for opposing defenses next year. Between Kyrie/Hayward/Tatum they have enough offensive weapons to deal with. Throw in a hungry Brown and a passing sniper in horford and how do you guard this team?

Jaylen is going to have an opportunity to take whatever the defense gives him. I won't be shocked if his efficiency stats get a large boost next year. He is going to be a great Robin to our dual Batmans of the future (while being a beast defensively.)

That and Jaylen gets some nice elevation when he shoots.

So Tatum has kind of a mentor in Kobe and now Brown has one in McGrady.  That's pretty awesome.  I wonder if Brown sought out McGrady after getting such positive feedback from Tatum about Kobe's advice.  It seems like a Brown type of thing to do.  Impressive.

One thing I wished he was doing differently is to use the backboard on those 45 degree shots inside 15 feet. I've always felt that was the easiest shot in the game after a layup, and I just don't understand when players shoot straight for the rim. It's particularly good for the pro game because  the higher arc helps against great shot blockers.

Brown was with T-Mac first IIRC. Of course it's not as big as working with Kobe to get the media  though.

I figured this must be part of the drill - they’re focused on footwork and lots of repetitions, so they weren’t maxing out his jump. That comes later, after he’s burned the footwork into muscle memory.
