Today, with a wide range of feelings, I'm announcing my retirement from basketball. IMMENSE GRATITUDE to everyone (family, friends, teammates, coaches, staff, fans) involved in my life in the last 23 years. It's been a fabulous journey. Way beyond my wildest dreams.
I feel like he was kind of forced to do this once they got rid of parker and leonard. Kind of feels weird, though he was very diminished as a player.
Certainly a hall of famer. One of the most versatile SG’s the league has ever seen. Going to miss watching him play. Some say if it wasn’t for the spurs and Popovich’s system, he wouldn’t have been able to shine the way he did. I strongly disagree with that. The guy clearly had the talent to be great anywhere, he just happened to have been lucky enough to be drafted somewhere he could win multiple titles and put his talent on full display. I even think he sacrificed a lot of his game to fit that system.
