Around August 25 is when rumors began about the deal in danger of being scrapped.
if they hadn't settled on the MIA pick...
The ultimate what if...

Sources: After Isaiah Thomas underwent physical today, Cavs still evaluating injured hip and weighing options w/ completion of Irving deal.

Thomas traveled to Cleveland, took exam and flew back out of town, sources said. All players must pass physical, or a deal can be voided.

Source told me this week a renegotiation attempt would be a likely option before anything was rescinded if it reached that point.

I heard on Wednesday the Cavs were worried about Isaiah Thomas' hip, even before the physical. Don't be surprised if they get another pick.

That was such a stupid little "standoff"

I know reports say they didn't, but man if CLE did ask for Tatum or Brown or another high pick I'm sure Ainge just laughed back to their face and told them to "kick rocks" :P

Anyways we'll see if Irving stays here after this season. What he does in FA next summer could decide who "wins" the trade or not.

Ha! I remember Cavs fans on social media wanting Tatum or Brown.

Even if we lost in the finals this year and Irving left I would say we easily won the trade. The alternative is probably us paying IT 15 million a year this year and the next couple of years

We'd lose out on the development of Ante Zizic and Collin Sexton, if Kyrie were to bounce.

The Celts seem to have had more insight into the severity of his injury than IT, and if true, probably wouldn't have resigned him.

Do you feel like zizic is still a prospect?

How is Ante Zizic nowadays? Curious to know just because.

don't get the Zizic hype (so far), doesn't move or shoot well enough in today's game.

do you think Ainge would choose Sexton over the other options at #8?
