edit - put all depth chart and lineup posts in this thread -wdleehi

With what Danny said in the paper today about Tony and Ray Allen being able to play the point. I wouldn't be shocked if Tony is healthy that we use this lineup at the end of the game.
5-Perk
4-KG
3-PP
2-T.Allen
1-Ray Ray

and if we want to go quick at the end of the game which Doc loves to do you could see Kg moving to the 5 and Posey coming in for Perk to play the 4. Any thoughts?

If it was against the warriors I'd put KG at center and posey at PF. and in general i'd have tony at pg, just cuz he penetrates and ray ray could stay on the wing with posey and paul.

It depends on the situation.

If they need to make a stop

Rondo
Pierce  (until T. Allen is healthy)
Posey
KG
Perkins

If it is even.
Rondo
Allen
Pierce
KG
Perkins

If they are down by three with under 24 seconds
House
Allen
Pierce
Scali
KG

This is spot on.  With the felxability they have in the roster now, there shouldn't be a set in stone end of game line up.  They should play match-ups, situations and hot hands.  Of course, I for one figure Doc can't figure this out and will screw it up a good portion of the time.

If we need to score I would bench Doc for Ainge.

If we need a stop I would bench Doc for Ainge.

If we need a 3 I would bench Doc for Ainge.

But if you want some non-existant pick and roll defense Doc is definitely your guy.

House

I would only look to spot House in the half court offensive situations.  I would rather have Tony Allen in on the offensive end than risk having House in the game on defense.  Tony is also great on the glass at the guard position.  With Pierce, Posey and Tony you aren't going to struggle on the defensive glass.

i dont see posey playing the 4 but i do see this for sum reason.. i dont think perk would be in clutch situation becuase they dont wana foul.. everyone would drive in on perk and most likely pick up the foul plus i see glen davis playing better D and rebounding better

Kg
Davis
posey
pp
ray

If Perkins can stay out of foul trouble it will be.

1 - Ray Allen
2 - Pierce
3 - Posey
4 - KG
5 - Perkins

At least for the first half the season.

Will be no perkins and most likely be

garnett, posey, pp, r. allen, rondo

how do you feel about such a lineup from 5 minutes and lower?? looks like we could score, but can we cohesively shut down the others team offense as well??

For me once tony allen is 100 percent back we might have to utilize him in situations where a guy like kobe gets hot and we need to shut him down. R. Allen at that point could take a sit, but i wonder how he might feel about that

I feel ray allen with his so so defense (or is it lack of effort) could really hurt us some games and of course his offense save us in others

  • Slusho makes me happy!
If doc can learn to utilize an offense-defense lineup and use his timeouts well at the end of games, this shouldn't be an issue.  That's a big if though.

Really depends on the situation.

BUt I rather have a stronger rebounding team.  Perkins and KG down low.  Limit the other team to one shot.

  • I would like to apologize now for what I do later.
Perk will prob foul out by the time the last 5 minutes roll around.
