I really like this guy. I would like to give him a chance in Camp to show what he can do against our talented wings defensively. I think we should keep him if we have a roster spot available.

We can put him on a 2 way, if we need to include Semi in a trade we have organizational depth.

If we give him a chance He may be a pleasant surprise.

I’d be all for having Martin on a 2 way contract this year.

Eh, I voted camp invite. Hardly the horrifying commitment to Nader that we’re all experiencing.

I'm talking a make good deal for a likely end of the bench guy at best.

Not a 2 year whatever like Nader landed.

Looks better than Nader to me anyway, time to move on ;D

Is he getting Allen's two way spot?

He seems surprisingly useful in SL. Of course, assuming RWill is healthy he’s be the fourth big on our roster.

Maybe (or Bird's) if he is even offered one. Bird may take a regular roster spot for us or another team as he is an RFA. I don't know if we even keep Allen either.

We just let Allen go. posted by Roy Hobbs in another thread.

Neither Martin nor Nader should be on the real team...

Sources: Hassan Martin, who is playing for the Summer Celtics, is likely to get at least a couple of offers for a Two-way contract. If not a Two-way contract, then a Summer Contract to attend training camp, with eyes on being an NBAGL Affiliate Player for the team that signs him.

I see a lot of love being thrown around the site for some of these Summer League talents. Just don't see that any, except for maybe.....maybe.......Bird getting anything more than a two-way contract. And on that 2-way contract, they will spend about every minute of their time in Portland if we are a healthy team. Heck, even if Bird gets the 15th slot on the team, I still see him spending most of his time in Portland. If Rozier, Smart, Brown and Kyrie are healthy all year there is no way Bird, Wanamaker or any 2-way player sees any minutes next year except in complete garbage time....if they aren't in Portland...or on the inactive list for that game.

wanamaker will absolutely get minutes. We will have many blowout games with Hayward and kyrie back and Tatum/brown taking a step forward in progress.

Maybe...let's see. If healthy our starters are:

Kyrie
Brown
Hayward
Tatum
Horford

Then the rotation has:

Smart
Rozier
Semi
Morris
Baynes
Theis

Deep bench, which 2 every night would either be inactive or in Portland would be:

Yabusele...in Boston
Williams....probably bouncing between Boston and Portland
Wanamaker....probably stays in Boston but sees a lot of inactives
Bird....all of the above. In Portland, bouncing back and forth and lots of inactives

We will see.
