His first team selections are:

Simmons
Mitchell
Markanen
Dennis Smith Jr.
Lonzo Ball

Seriously? This guy should have his voting privileges stripped based on the last 3 selections over Tatum. Ball played 52 games to Tatum's 80.

I wish I  was on Twitter to send him a message.

LONZO?? LOL!

Well, this guy basically showed that he is either a joker, or has no appreciation of basketball. Ball wasn't even the best Laker rookie ::)

There is always someone that has to be different and on occasion it makes them interesting and once in a while smart. In the case it's easy to say it back fired on him and he has egg on his face!

For the record, it was Max Lederman who tweeted about this.

I didn't find something on Sefko own wall.

Strange he went with Ball over Kuzma (and obviously Tatum), but Ball did lead all 2017 draftees in APG by 2 a game over Smith.  He was 3rd among draftees in RPG and 10th in PPG.  So he had the per game numbers.  The Lakers were also 24-28 in Ball's games and just 11-19 in the games he didn't play, so he did help their wins.

Still with just 52 games it is hard to see him ahead of both Tatum and Kuzma.

Didn't he have a negative plus/minus on the season?

Has he tried to justify his decision to not vote for Tatum? The guy works for the Dallas Morning News, so was he set on including Dennis Smith Jr no matter what? Although, at worst, Tatum should have been his third pick.

I get the homer pick of Smith, but Lonzo/Lauri  ???.

Oh well, I don't think Tatum is going to be lacking praise and attention this off season because of one voter.  ;)

no idea, he did have the highest DRTG on the team among the regular rotation (also the worst ORTG).  I think Ball being a bust was great exaggerated.  He had a pretty solid rookie year overall and had a lot of counting stats.  He wasn't better than Tatum, especially when factoring in games played, but I don't think it is super crazy either.

Tatum will be the best player out of all of them, if he isn't already. Stay healthy young fella and keep working on your game. You will be an MVP candidate.

The sports media are a bunch of professional fans. They see the game like fans, not like the players and coaches do. And they have their biases. The only real judges of all-teams are the players and coaches. But the media pays the bills these days, and they have a big say in a lot of things.

Let those players have their vote from this guy because real basketball media people, NBA people and fans are drooling over how good Tatum is after his playoff performance.

My guess is after the playoffs if you asked Lebron James which rookie he would want on his team, he would say Jayson Tatum. I think that speaks volumes as to who really was the best player in this rookie group.

If you don't think Markkanen (or Smith, for that matter) is every bit as good as Tatum, you haven't been paying attention.

Ball? Meh.

He is definitely a step below the top three of Simmons, Tatum and Mitchell but most likely the best of the rest so #4 rookie in the league.
