6'10" with shoes on is plenty big especially with those long arms and remember he is as big as Al Horford and he has done quite well though he is a different type of player

Williams is about the same height as Bill Russell, and the same wingspan. Russell could defend 7-1, 7-2 centers. Wilt was 7-2.  He's about 20 lbs heavier than Russell when he started out--240 lbs vs 220 lbs. Russ was a 50% foul shooter (he and Shaq used to laugh about it), and never shot much in the key. Mostly dunks or putbacks. They had plenty of offense, and he was the rim protector and D guy.

Danny is standing on the corpses of all the GMs he's slain.

Also would like to mention that the reason that people like mo. Bamba and Brandon Ingram struggle is because they're real thin this kids already 240 lb so he'll naturally add 10 pounds easily if he keeps that explosiveness now you have something with that length.

Danny is 6'4" or 6'5" (remember he did play SG in the NBA) so Robert Williams looks at least 3 inches taller plus he is leaning over some. So Williams is at least 6'8" but most than likely he is 6'9" in shoes just as reported with elite reach and elite athletic ability. So Germans here.

Ainge is standing next to Dale Ellis who is 6'7" and across from him is Michael Copper who is also 6'5".

The game has changed just a tad since then.

This kid needs to hit free throws at a decent clip and get an offensive touch, which I think he is capable of.

I also think he's capable. When I saw the percentages I was prepared to see a broken form but his form isn't horrendous. I think a little bit of coaching would go a long way, and if he has an assistant coach assigned to him all the better. If the kid can learn to shoot adequately...watch out!

I can't believe you guys think that professional basketball players should show up to a practice facility in a suit like they are a junior intern trying to impress the boss.  They're athletes.   You guys sound silly.

Williams is not 7 feet tall.  I guess that's a surprise to some.

If you are referring to my post, you misunderstand me. Basically, if I was drafted, I'm showing up in a suit with a change of clothes. My point was that he was told to come in work out attire.

We honestly wouldn't know because who knows what happened before and after the photo haha.

How are those two thoughts related?

He can pass well apparently - hopefully someone who follows Texas closely could comment.

On the offensive side, this is all I hope for during his rookie season.  Sagging off Williams will be a big problem for the very talented offensive players on the court with him.
