I think some folks are trying too hard to find fault in the guy. Give him an actual chance before you bury him

Happens every year to guys who did not get their draft binkie.   I bet a lot of the faults searching disappear after a few dunks in summer league.   But he is a project of sorts and expectations need to be tempered.   His athletic potential is jaw dropping though folks.

That's 6 inches huh?  ;D ::)

Maybe I’ve got a big head, but from my eyebrows to the top of my head is 5.5 inches, and Ainge comes up to about Williams’ eyebrows.  So yeah, looks like 6 inches to me.
Decidedly a big head -- mine is less than 4.5 in there :)

6'8.5" here and 6' is the bottom on my nose for reference.   So about 7-8" is my difference but everyone is different.   Danny might have shrunk a bit with age who knows.

Tour of the Maine facility is reportedly scheduled for Sunday.

This is good enough sarcasm (in theory) that I'm about 50/50 on believing you / calling BS as I read it online.

Is that serious or a good dry joke?

I think that he's putting us on. Nice one.

Just kidding.  : )  Though may be possible.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Good Gawd !!  Is that video even real ?  If real, was this a recent post-season workout ?
Some frames look duped - the net doesn't even move.
I've never seen anyone shoot like that.

The new facility looks gorgeous. I love the parquet floor and those beautiful banners.
Also appreciate them placing the American Flag up there.

What's with the red doors ? Make them green or black or even grey.
Remember the old days and Regis College ?

There are always a couple of dissenters, but the vast majority of Cs fans seem to be ecstatic with Williams at #27. Just because people are questioning his height next to Danny or think he needs a more disciplined atmosphere doesn't mean anybody thinks we could have really done better.

From a Cs fan standpoint, this is fantastic! Hopefully he can work through any physical or mental issues he may have and become the true steal of the draft.

I don't see that being a problem this year, everybody seems to be on board with Williams as a sleeper pick who perfectly fell to us, nobody's jimmies are rustled that we didn't pick somebody else. Williams is a universal binkie.

Did they trick us with Williams height ? lol

Remember what matters here guys. Williams is about 6 foot 9 with a shoes off but that's not what matters in the NBA is standing reach is super Elite at 9 ft 4 in add to that about a 36-inch vertical and you have one of the rarest shot blockers in the league he has the size and leaping ability that only Joel embiid, Anthony Davis, Mo. Bamba Deandre ayton can match numbers wise.

from the article linked above

For now, the Celtics staff is preparing its plan to challenge Williams. He will be assigned an assistant coach to work with him specifically (it’s this way with all the C’s). That pairing will do separate on-court work and video study in addition to the team’s collective sessions.

Sounds like a solid training model.  Any guesses as to who the assistant coach is? Unsure of who works with the bigs.

Ha, ha, ha... very cute.  ;D

Here's a pic of Ainge with Horford.

Considering Williams is leaning toward Ainge, he looks about the same height as Horford.  Maybe, Horford's an inch taller, but Williams has those Go Go Gadget arms.
