why trade a 25yr/old PG stud like Kyrie?  Kawaii is good, but more easily replaceable than a guy like Kyrie.

Really can't agree with this, provided Kawhi is healthy. You're forgetting who Kawhi is.

First-team all-NBA defense - maybe the only player in the league who can bother LeBron, able to guard 2-4, and for short stretches even Steph Curry in a pinch. *And* a clutch scorer late in the game not much below Kyrie's level.

A healthy Kyrie is roughly top 20 in the league. A healthy Kawhi is top 4. It goes LBJ and Durant, tied at the top, then Davis and Kawhi.

That's where Ainge would really need to kick the tires. *Why* does Kawhi want out? San Antonio is a well run organization that could have gone deep in the playoffs. What's his issue?

That defense would be insane. And if you really want to protect a lead at the end of a game, plug in Marcus Smart for one of them for the last couple minutes. Smart-Brown-Kawhi will give opposing backcourts nightmares.

I think if the Cs trade for Kawhi, it’ll be an all-in move and that involves keeping Kyrie. Salary wise it will be insane, but it almost has to be Brown, Morris, picks and filler.

Kyrie, Hayward and Kawhi are a legitimate big 3 of All-Stars, where Tatum or Horford would make them arguably  deeper 1-5 than GS. Smart is probably gone to have any hope on our salary cap, with Baynes, Theis, Rozier the cheap deals.

No chance at competing as they got old as we did in the early 90s.  They can't beat Golden State.

Who sits then if you this move?  Can we roll with Hayward or Tatum at the four?

Big question is Kawhi healthy?   

If we move Kyrie I would rather move him for Karl Anthony Towns.

I don't like the lack of a ballhandler on that team.  Realistically I think Jaylen would end up coming off the bench with Smart or Rozier starting.

I generally agree with you and would prefer to just go with what we have. If Danny was more confident Leonard would sign than Irving though I would understand and still think we could win the title
