Can we be a bit more informative here? This is low effort content.

Whiteside is on the verge of being traded.

Quote
The Heat remains committed to take steps to ensure that Whiteside and Spoelstra are on the same page so that the relationship can work if Miami isn’t able to trade him, a person briefed on the situation reiterated in recent days.

That process already has begun — though as of Monday, there had not yet been a major collective summit among Pat Riley, Spoelstra and Whiteside.

Miami is expected to explore trade options for Whiteside, but the number of teams who could have interest – and have much to offer in return – are limited. Sacramento, Portland, Dallas and Milwaukee are among teams that might be a fit.

A lot of users here claimed that trading for Whiteside would be a good idea. I was originally okay with the idea, but soured after I found out he had too much attitude problems.

I'm just glad we avoided the scenario in which we went after him. Players like him are eventually no longer useful in the NBA.

I don’t get it... how is any of this related to the Celtics?

We aren’t interested in Monroe 2.0 nor we do have a need for center. We have horford theis and probably baynes

I posted this thread, because I was thinking about Whiteside, someone most users said we should trade for him.

And we definitely need a center... Horford/Theis/Baynes are not even big man depth. And there is no guarantee Baynes comes back anyways.

Whiteside seemed like quite a catch a couple years ago.  Now he’s semi obsolete with a bad attitude.  I would have liked him a couple years but I’m glad he’s someone else’s problem.
