Let kyrie walk if he wants to. Shoot for klay Thomson in 2019. Thoughts?

Rozier/Thompson/Hayward/Tatum/horford

I want no part of Drama Queen Lebron.

The comment about Irving having a peculiar personality is right on target. The guy is half-a-flake. I second the sentiment that any player who does not want to be in a great situation and is not honored to be a Celtic can look elsewhere. We have too many guys whose hearts are totally invested in this team to put up with someone who is not so sure he wants to be in Boston.

Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

Irving for #3 pick + whatever will balance the salaries.

This....except the LeBron part..

Actually I wouldn't mind this

Thompson has kind of been held back if you think about it

I have no idea how the Warriors plan to resign/keep him and Green

nobody is trading a lottery pick for an expiring kyrie. Not even the knicks. Porzingis is out for most of the year.. They'll wait

Because he wasn't a starter most of last season. It is a little different when you have to play starters minutes and be expected to contribute all season long.

so you think rozier, who has improved drastically every year since he has entered the league, will not continue getting better? He's young. That isn't a bet I'm willing to take

Obvious destination = Knicks for 2018 9th pick,  Frank Ntilikina and future 1st
That is such a ridiculously terrible haul for kyrie lol. Especially when you consider we traded an all pro pg, starting caliber sf, and Brooklyn lotto pick plus more to get him when he forced his way out. Yeah the pick ended up being 8th overall but during the summer it was projected top 3
everyone got so sensitive after 9-11... thanks alot bin laden

Nothing to see here. He just said what he needs to say. Even if he's committed, we're not sure about Ainge and the front office thinks either. It's silly to think about this too early when he still have one more year to exercise his player option.
Yup. Nothing to see at all

are you in denial?  ;D

Why isn't Irving saying.... YES I want to be a Celtic for the long term or retire as a Celtic

otherwise how are you so confident?

Players say they want to be lifers all the time, then get traded ruthlessly or flee in free agency anyway. Words to the media mean little at the end of the day so don't put too much stock in them.

At least Irving isn't pretending to be something he's not. He doesn't want to make promises he won't keep so he doesn't make them.

Yeah, that is a putrid deal unless Ntilikina turns into a borderline All-Star

Precisely. The season is over, so now it's time for these ridiculous non-stories to come flying out. Without any actual basketball to report, how do you think journalists are going to get their clicks? Which is, after all, what they are almost entirely concerned with

I’d be very worried by that comment if it came from anyone other than a guy who proclaims the Earth if flat.

The guy is a master troll and knows what to say to make headlines.

I’m sure Danny and Brad have a keen eye on the situation and if they should have serious doubt he wants to stay. If that’s the case, he will be gone by training camp.

Danny doesn’t play. Ain’t no thing. Kyrie is an unusual cat, but he won’t trick DA.
