Here's a list of guys that aren't being moved this summer:

Irving
Brown
Hayward
Tatum
Horford

1 win from dethroning LeBron James, c'mon! The core of this team isn't changing over the summer.

If we make a trade it'll be moving bench pieces like Rozier, Morris or a S&T with Smart.

And its not just me shouting about this because I don't want to see trade rumours. Logically I just don't see trades that make sense with those guys in. Davis isn't moving this summer, the top teams in the draft don't have the same valuations on our players as we do and a rookie this year isn't the best fit for our time line. Having the Sac pick is actually a really good thing for us!
Moving a young wing for a young big is the opposite of what we are aiming for, in case you missed our playoff run a huge part of that was being able to switch everything and not suffer huge mismatches (Rozier aside), trading Brown for Porter or Jackson or Bamba or Towns does not help.

Next year when our closing lineup is Irving-Brown-Tatum-Hayward-Horford we are going to be lethal! We need 3-4 more playoff calibre players to the rotation. We have Theis, that's one. Then for the sake of argument choose one of Rozier and Smart. Then re-sign Baynes. That's 3. 2 bigs and a guard. We then have the tax payer mid level to sign another if we need to, or trust in Semi, keep Rozier and / or Morris or package them for a player

I like this thinking. I don't mind going into next year with that lineup, I just don't want to be in a situation where we have to start making $$$ cuts. I'm losing faith that Horford can hold down the paint. Collectively, we are good rebounders but our presence at the rim, 2nd chance points has been an issue that needs to be addressed. I like Theis and if we can bring Baynes back that would help.

I feel like a broken record in all of these trade topics. My idea is if we ignore them, they'll just go away.. but it's just not happening.

When you're 5 games away from winning the NBA title despite missing 2 allstars, it's extremely unlikely that we will trade anything for the upcoming season unless some ridiculous offer comes up (like trading Rozier, Smart and Kings pick for Leonard).

I know these threads are fun, but the odds of any major trades happening are extremely slim.

I guess people like playing NBA2k MyGM  ;D

Yeah let's trade a 21 year old who is on his rookie deal that just averaged 18 PPG in the playoffs is a very very good defender and shot 39.5% from 3 for a guy who has no NBA experience PLUS Terry Rozier who averaged 16.5 on .406 FG. oh and let's toss in a surefire top 10 (at worst) to boot. ::)

I'm amazed that some people are so confident Jaylen is anywhere near his ceiling.

Yeah. I’m wondering if we can keep Baynes - which I’d be OK with - or if there’s an MLE level player who’s an upgrade or just a sideways move if Baynes is offered more than we can pay. I remember hearing good things about Dewayne Dedmon last year, and he can opt out of Atlanta next year. He shoots the 3, had a rep as a good defender, and he’s a better rebounder than Baynes by rebound rate. Used to be a Spur so that’s a good pedigree.
