The Lakers must be really depressed going into the lottery tomorrow. If the pick lands on #2-5 it goes to the Celtics. Any other position it goes to Philly unless it's #1, which the Lakers retain.

This will be the ultimate test of the rigged lottery theory if the Lakers win it with their odds.

I hope the pick convey's to the Kings next year. There aren't any minutes for a rookie next year unless it's a big man like Wagner from Michigan.

It goes to 76ers if it’s #1. Lakers have no chance of winning. They gave up this pick in Nash trade

We definitely don't need it, but the more top 3 talent the merrier I say. It would be interesting seeing if DA would keep it, or dangle it in front of other teams
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Wow. Where to begin.

The Celtics will get it if it lands 2 or 3 (remember the lottery is drawn up only for the top 3), Sixers get it at #1 or anywhere it may land other than 2 of 3. The Lakers don't get the pick no matter where it lands.

Absolutely we need the pick. This is a great draft for bigs. That said, why is that you think Wagner would get minutes, but nobody else? Even though there are much more talented players than him in this years draft.

We don't "need" it, but can you imagine us being able to add someone like Ayton at # 2 to this core? Are you kidding me? The rest of the NBA should just not even play for the next decade to 15 years!

the pick has no chance of conveying at 4 or 5 that’s why he said that

Yes, my mistake. I thought the only way the Lakers could get it if it's #1. I didn't know that Philly had a handle on it to that extent.

Yes, I like Moritz Wagner with our own #1 pick. He fits right in with the skillset that Stevens likes. He can do multiple things and can shoot. He would be ready by the time Horford leaves.

We absolutely do not need the pick.

Danny would like a pick this year. He's also going to want a pick next year.

We have enough talent as it is. We need our young guys to develop, and we need are older older players to stay healthy.
The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.

Danny has as many as four picks next year (ours, Sac's, possibly Memphis, possibly LAC). We're covered, but it would be fun to see what he could come up with.

Need, no, like absolutely because that means it is 2 or 3, which is likely higher than the pick Boston gets next year and this draft is allegedly far better at the top, so Boston not only gets a higher pick also has a much better chance at landing a better player given the draft's depth.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

We definitely might need it to get past the Warriors. There is no guarantee that our young guys meet the insane expectations posters on this board have for them, or that our 2 seriously injured magically come back 100% healthy. We are playing incredible right now, and will get a lot more help next year and in the future, but we haven't proven that we can contend with the Warriors/Rockets yet. Adding another blue chip prospect, especially a big guy (Ayton, Bagley, Bamba) would be huge for us.
CB Mock Deadline - Minnesota Timberwolves
Kemba Walker / Tyus Jones / Aaron Brooks
Jimmy Butler / Jamal Crawford / Treveon Graham
Rodney Hood / Nic Batum / Marcus Georges Hunt
Taj Gibson / Nemanja Bjelica / Jonas Jerebko
KAT / Derrick Favors / Cole Aldrich
Picks - 2018 CHA 1st (Lotto protected), none out

Need? Obviously not.

It's something else that they have a shot at a pick this high while playing this good with this much young talent and if the pick doesn't convey... oh well, it just rolls into next season from Sacramento. Insane.
