  • GOT IT!!!
Cavs going to try to play bully ball now. This season the C's are much more equipped to handle that.

Don’t see why the Cavs need any changes . It was just a feel out game  ;D

So in other words...

I am wanting to get Brown on Jr Smith. Smith is as about as useful as a traffic cone playing defense.

What an insult to traffic cones..

No surprise there...the Cavs realize they can't beat the Celtics quick, long, talented, small ball unit.

Look for the game to be slowed down with a lot of isolation using LeBron, and a ton of Cav fouls that get overlooked.

The league is seeing the possibility of a LeBron-less final and that can't be tolerated.

So who blinks?

Kevin Love on Tatum?
Tatum or Brown trying to box out Tristan Thompson?

We'll see just how ready our two young stars are. I'm betting we win this particular battle.

Could be. But I bet ratings are higher if it’s not a GSW-CLE rematch. Nobody wants to see that - except maybe Golden State fans.

This is the game you tell rozier to rebound everything. He's going to have to get up and get the boards! Just go rb crazy. Rb and assist should be his primary and secondary goals. Matter of fact, tell him that TT said he only rbs balls that are wide open and that he can't really rb like a man!😫😭

Rozier is rebound crazy!

I say play the same starters, let Tatum play Thompson and continue to have Morris on Lebron and go at Love with Horford in the pick and roll. If the Cavs switch Thompson to Horford in the defensive side, let Tatum take Love off the dribble with an outside in game. Keep making the es if Love gives it to you and blow by him if he comes out to cover the perimeter.

Thompson apparently guards Al very well based on stats. Brad will game plan for this.

If they put Love on Tatum, they'd be insane. I suppose that if we keep the lineup, they'll put LeBron on Brown, Korver on Tatum, and Love on Morris. This isn't a great look for us (at least not more than usual), but making Love hang out on the perimeter is something.

If Thompson defend Al well, need to figure out how to play Al on offense. Post up less and shoot more from the 3, to draw out Thompson from the paint. I would lean on Terry, Jaylen and Jason more to get to the paint and leave outside to shoot 3’s.

I would not start Baynes. He will just clog paint if we keep Al on high post.

I think Cs would get murdered on the boards. If Thompson starts, I think the Cs counter with Baynes. Putting Thompson in also takes a shooter for them off the court (likely Korver). Baynes played 18 out of the 21 minutes Thompson was on the court last game.

That would be a heck of a test. If Tatum could  guard Love without drawing cheap fouls (which you know Love would try to get, or LBJ if he gets Tatum switched onto him ina pick and roll with Love) that would be a huge win for the  Cs. Love can’t stay in front of Tatum and Thompson won’t be under the rim to block his shot - TT will  have to cover Al at the 3-PT line.

I am definitely worried about giving up cheap offensive rebounds without more beef in the lineup, tho. So net, I can imagine trying it but pulling it quick if it didn’t work. Wondering if there’s a way Ojeleye could help us here...

Tatum can feast on Korver, and I think Jaylen can still get open looks with Lebron guarding him.
