The Best Sequence IMO Of Yesterday's Blowout Win

Forgive me for the back ground music in the video (I didn't make it), but this sequence to me was the best in the entire game.

Jaylen Brown stays on Kevin Love and then blocks the shot with authority (and lets Love know about it), then on the other end, posts up on Korver, makes a move, stares at Korver, and then just buries the jumper like an ice cold assassin 

There were obviously a lot of great plays by the C's in yesterday's game, but I thought that sequence by the game-leading scorer (Jaylen) on BOTH ends of the floor was spectacular and really summed up our fight and effort in the blowout win yesterday.

But also, it shows how much Jaylen has grown from Year 1 to Year 2 (Most Improved Player IMHO), and makes me excited to think about the jump Tatum could take, and even guys like Semi and Yabusele hopefully.

On most occasions, Love probably manhandles Jaylen down low and scores, but Jaylen despite the mismatch stays on him (using his strength and footwork) and then blocks the shot.

Last year, Jaylen is probably a little less confident to take that shot that he did over Korver and instead passes the ball or makes a careless turnover trying to dribble inside (into traffic). But this year's Jaylen has zero fear!

Kobe-esque jumper right there. Been on the receiving end of a lot of those, so it's nice to have 2 young guys (Tatum with the couple of brutal 3's) who are just ice-cold

Jaylen's development since summer league is incredible. The game has slowed down so much for him. I predict he takes another big step next year, refining one more skill - maybe his crossover, or his post-up fallaway - and look out, league.

He is shooting so, so well. That block was amazing. Sky’s the limit.

That was a great sequence, and probably the best of the day. I love how Jaylen set the tone from the opening tip, when he saw Korver on him, and took him to the rim. For me, it was a sign that we were going to see an aggressive Jaylen Brown in the game, which is a great thing for the Celtics.

He has been my favorite player ever since his first game against the Cavs his rookie year. I have never understood the sleepy comparisons. He has had fire in his belly since coming into the league. Combine his intelligent manner (not bbiq) with his top 10% athleticism, and you can see how he has taken these jumps.

I honestly believe his ceiling is the best 2 way player on our team. I hope he is a celtic for a long time.

I remember earlier in the season Jaylen would go full force from one end to another and doesn't know when to pass back out.

In one season he has improved on that, his potential and work ethics are just so incredible

Actually, they did. You can look at all the pre-game draft threads or articles on this site, it was a huge reason folks wanted Bender (for upside and since we wanted a big so bad) OR to trade the pick for Butler. Meanwhile, Jaylen looks like he'll be better than Jimmy Buckets a few years from now.

Most thought Brown was just another Marcus Smart with slightly better 3 point shooting but just not a great shooter either.

Oh yeah, TP. That was nice too! Jaylen getting the tip and then scoring in like 5 seconds.

That really seemed to set the tone early. CLE's defense was real bad yesterday.

Even when they went on runs in the 1st half, the C's just kept scoring on the other end with ease and making those runs look useless.
