Forgive me for the back ground music in the video (I didn't make it), but this sequence to me was the best in the entire game.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDVO0CUCX18Jaylen Brown stays on Kevin Love and then blocks the shot with authority (and lets Love know about it), then on the other end, posts up on Korver, makes a move, stares at Korver, and then just buries the jumper like an ice cold assassin
There were obviously a lot of great plays by the C's in yesterday's game, but I thought that sequence by the game-leading scorer (Jaylen) on BOTH ends of the floor was spectacular and really summed up our fight and effort in the blowout win yesterday.
But also, it shows how much Jaylen has grown from Year 1 to Year 2 (Most Improved Player IMHO), and makes me excited to think about the jump Tatum could take, and even guys like Semi and Yabusele hopefully. On most occasions, Love probably manhandles Jaylen down low and scores, but Jaylen despite the mismatch stays on him (using his strength and footwork) and then blocks the shot.
Last year, Jaylen is probably a little less confident to take that shot that he did over Korver and instead passes the ball or makes a careless turnover trying to dribble inside (into traffic). But this year's Jaylen has zero fear!
"But guys! Jaylen can't shoot! At best, he's a 3-and-D role player"
