I do believe there is a slight chance they form a super team in Philly with Kawhi and LeBron joining Embiid and Simmons. I give that less than a 20% chance of actually happening.

LeBron being the coward that he always has been will bolt West to I think the Rockets or Lakers. James should take a pay cut with Paul so they can keep everyone in Houston.

That's it for LeBron in the East. Hes a weak minded person who seeks out the easiest path and this series is an eye opening one for him.

Was impressed that Rozier can cover him at all. So that means seven guys we can put on LeBron. Rozier, Smart, Brown, Morris, Horford, Semi, Tatum, Yabu just to hack him is eight.

Gordon Hayward shows up next year. That's Nine Players to slow him down. It's literally unreal. Anyone remember when Paul Pierce was here and he was literally the only player that could cover LeBron and now LeBron will be 34 years old he can't compete with what we have depth wise.

you think the West is any easier?? lol

Even if Lebron loses he still has time to orchestrate a better lineup for next season

The top 7 pick is big.  Likely they trade the pick unless its a player Lebron is high on and can make a "Jayson Tatum" type impact in year 1

Lebron could entice PG13 to sign

These two things would make the Cavs a much better team than they are now

Moving to a different team , having to abide under a new coach/organization etc.

I just don't think its his style.   Going to the Heat the way he did , was a one time thing

Man, some of y’all have balls galore.  It’s ONE game.  Cleveland wins the next game and today is easily forgotten.

I agree its still long ways away

but the Celts are not the Raptors. Don't have the holes the Pacers do  (even though they played the Cavs hard).  Celts don't have to rely on a Bogdonovic to guard LEbron

I hope you are correct.  Though I know LBJ will be tough competition -- especially with an improved Cavs team, I think it's the right thing for him to do to stay put.

I enjoyed the hell of the game.  But I’m not ready to pronounce James dead.  There’s a difference.

You’re just not extrapolating what next year’s result will be based on this blowout. OP is referring to next season. Anyone with estimation skills can predict that the Celtics will be unstoppable with current lineup plus Kyrie and Gordon. Nothing incredible about it.

I think he will... probably was promised a cushy exec job once he retires

Next season,  he is going to demand a better supporting cast.  The Cavs have the assets to obtain another all star

I wouldn't put much stock in him going West.  East is still the easier path unless he goes to GSW for the vet min.  He'd still have to go through GSW if he signs with Houston never mind GSW and Houston if he goes to LA.

East is where he'll stay.  Could be Cavs.  small chance it's Philly though not implausible.  Simmons and Fultz aren't offering much offensive relief to entice him.

IF, very big IF, he really wanted the easiest path to the finals going forward, he'd sign with the C's for whatever they offer (vet min or bi-annual exception if that's still available).  use the MLE to keep Baynes.  Resign Smart.  roll the roster over for next year with Kyrie and Hayward back. C's poised to rule the conference for 7-8 years.

Ah, you’re right.  Of course, the premise still faulty because west as good or better than east but if he does leave Cleveland, he may have to choose wisely.

It would be rather hilarious if the Celtics once again forced LeBron to tuck tail and bolt Cleveland.

I'm not sure he'd ever be able to live that down.  Once is bad enough, but twice???

Yeah. No thanks. I want to beat the Queen not sign him. That's the difference between James and the Celtics. We are doing this through hard work, Great coaching signing, Brilliant GM moves trades and signings.

LeBron, go take the easy path in Houston like you always do you coward. One day I'll tell you how I really feel about him LoL.

No that the west isn't tough but anybody that doesn't think they have a fighting chance with

Capella, LeBron, Harden, Paul . That team is built for titles.

Rockets with Harden, Paul and Lebron would be crazy

i wouldn't want that to happen

Harden though looks like he is already getting annoyed by Paul.  +  Lebron up in his grill....maybe he asks to be traded in this situation
