Marcus Smart has a sore ring finger on his shooting hand, per source. Described as swollen and painful but not bad enough to stop him from playing.

Smart might actually improve his touch now, lol.

Unfortunate, but if it's prevents Smart from shooting early shot clock 3's or from having more FG attempts than Horford, then it may not be such a bad thing after all.

So not only do we worry about it being 5 vs 8 but now we have to sit through the Three Stooges on the commentary?   ::) ::)

The only thing that will prevent Smart from having more FGA than Horford is Horford. If he isn't being aggressive and taking shots then someone has to take them

FWIW, I'm optimistic enough that I'm flying from Seattle to Boston for Game 2.

That's awesome!

At the game. They just showed a great two-minute video of all the ESPN announcers throughout the season talking about how the Celtics were done for the year. Really well done.

Meanwhile, the guy next to me in the first row still hasn’t shown up. Neither have the two behind them.  ::)

How do you people even use this forum?  I get "connection problems" constantly.  Half the time pages take ages to load.  It's insufferable.  Since when has this forum ran like complete trash?

Anyways... By tradition, I'm obligated to say we're doomed and have no chance.  They crushed us last year and it'll probably be more of the same with King James.  Arguably the greatest player of all time.

That said, I could see us avoiding a sweep.  Cavs are worse without Kyrie.   Across the board, I can see our current group as an upgrade over last year's playoff roster.

Scary Terry > Marcus Smart (Isaiah was injured in the ECF last year)

Jaylen Brown > Avery Bradley (Might be underselling Avery here.  It's probably more even, but Jaylen's size is a big deal)

Tatum >>> Crowder (not even close... Tatum is head and shoulders better than Crowder)

Morris/Baynes > Olynyk/Amir (Again, I might be underselling Olynyk's contributions last season, but this seems like an upgrade)

Horford = Horford

That closes the gap a bit.  But only a bit.  Far superior teams have tried and failed to stop LeBron.

FWIW, I'm optimistic enough that I'm flying from Seattle to Boston for Game 2.

it has been bad i would say since midway thu season. many complained. never fixed. i cannot find a better site. so i would rather this be fixed and stay here.

He looks like he's gained weight.  But still the same bad broadcaster.  Oh well, at least it's not Reggie Miller.
