Chris Forsberg Twitter quoting Stevens -

"We let [Gordon Hayward] be a part of the walkthrough, which was fun, just to have him back out here. He’s getting better too but, again, we’re going to have to figure out how to be the best version of ourselves as we continue on through the season without [Kyrie + Gordon]."

Pretty cool. Not that I'm expecting him back, but it's good that he's on the court and with the team. In addition, for someone as guarded as Stevens to say "he's getting better" makes me think he's further along than we might expect.

It is good news that he is back with the team.  But why would we think he is 'further along that we might expect'?  He went through a walk through.  That doesn't indicate anything honestly.

If  we make it to the nba finals, I don't see any way Hayward doesn't play. He will play. The "what if" would eat him alive through his life. He's going to do anything possible to make it on the court.

I expect him back around game 2 or 3 of the finals. Maybe game 7.  It'll go down in NBA  history as a crazy story.

Call it wishful thinking but he made a lot of progress already

He won't play. I'd love to think that he would, but he won't. They're not risking anything. You won't see Hayward again until September. Sorry.

"He's not playing this year. I don't know what else to say," said Stevens, who has fielded an increased amount of questions about Hayward's progress in recent weeks.

I don't get why we all turn into conspiracy theorists when we talk about GH coming back.  haha

I thought by now he would be doing shooting drills with team mates. Things are progressing slowly.

Okay. This is wishful thinking.

Much better likelihood we see Kyrie, versus Hayward.

Kyrie shouldn't be all that far off despite the long rehab timeline they have. He got two screws pulled out. No structural work was done.

I think there is a better chance that Bill Russell suits up than Kyrie or Hayward play this season. Are either of those guys even on the playoff roster?

Anyone know if Kyrie is doing the walkthrough too?  I wonder who is further along to coming back.

At this stage I'm not absolutely convinced he'll be 100% for camp next season. Seriously. It's mid-May and he's relearning how to move.

I am expecting he will have to come off bench with minutes restrictions to start pre season now
