I would start Semi on Bron and here is why. If we had Kyrie then I would put Brown on Bron because we have additional scoring. Since we don't have Kyrie, we need Brown's points. I would hate to see Brown pick up 2 early fouls and have to sit.

Start Semi and let him set a tone and possibly pick up some fouls on Bron. He's already play Greek who is taller. Then I would go to Morris with the same thought in mind. We don't need their points more than we need their defense and fouls. Brown would be the third option. They will run a lot of PnRs so he will keep switching until he gets Horford, Tatum or Rozier. I would only play one true big at a time...Baynes, Horford or Monroe...never two of them together.

Rozier - Hill
Brown - JR
Semi - Bron
Tatum - Love
Horford - TT

So basically the argument is to start a guy who can't score because we need additional scoring.

kinda need an offensive weapon like Morris out there in IMO

had to make Bron work at both ends his 46 minutes.

Yeah I think we have to try Morris first, it's partially why we got him and if he doesn't play like game 5, he's going to make Lebron work harder on D than Semi and contribute something on the offensive side of the ball.  I'm not confident in Semi's offensive abilities or even ability to punish teams for flat-out ignoring him at this stage of his development.

People will be shocked at how even Semi is dwarfed by Lebron.  I don’t anticipate Semi being particularly effective against Lebron.  Semi shorter, can’t bother him with his length or his strength.

Starting Semi gives Cleveland a place to hide Korver on defense.  I'd rather not do that if I can help it.

Lebron will just pick and roll us to death until he gets the matchup that he wants, which should be pretty easy for him if we opt to continue *switchin* ;) ;D, so no, I wouldn't elect to start Semi in this case and would probably only play him with Morris. That way, if Lebron opts for the same strategy, which I anticipate that he will, he'll still wind up with either Semi or Morris on him in such instances, with my only concern owing to the uncertainty as to whether or not Morris is strong enough to guard Love, inside. Semi should be able to at least make it difficult for Kevin to gain favorable inside position, but we'll see what happens.

Giannis Antetokounmpo
6' 11", 222 lbs

LeBron James
6' 8", 250 lbs

Semi Ojeleye
6' 7", 235 lbs

Marcus Morris
6' 9", 235 lbs

I don't think Semi is really dwarfed by Lebron.  Now I am not going to say Semi would defend Lebron as well as he did on Giannis because Lebron is just at another level.  But if he was able to deal with the 6'11" athletic freak, I don't see why Lebron's height / size has anything to do with it.  Semi is a bit shorter than Morris, but Morris isn't as athletic or quick as Semi.  I think that Morris and Semi and Brown will be guarding Lebron off and on.  I don't think Semi will start.

I highly doubt that Lebron would be guarding Semi.  Lebron usually guards the best wing on the other team, sometimes he just guards the other teams best player like he did sometimes with Victor Oladipo.  Saying that we are giving a break to Lebron by playing Semi doesn't make any sense because Lebron won't be guarding him.  They will stick Korver or some other poor defender on Semi.

Well, if Morris or Brown gets into foul trouble, I imagine Semi will be getting a decent share of minutes on Lebron.  Not much we can do if those two get into foul trouble, and since it is Lebron you know they will...lol

That James weight isn't really accurate. Earlier this year there was a report that said he gained 7 lbs in a game, obviously due to taking in large amounts of fluid to prevent cramping. However, the point is that his weight went up to 278. So for sake of argument, let's say he's still at 270, that's still 20 lbs heavier than what he's listed at.

Hopefully, Semi won't get in on the floor in the whole series.

So have you personally weighed him?  I know that the posted heights weights of players might not be completely accurate, but what else are you going to go by?

It isn't Lebron's height and weight that makes him impossible to guard.  It is his skill level.  If lebron is really 270, then Morris will get pushed around like a fly because he is about the same as Semi...

For the record, I don't think that Giannis is 225lbs either.  If Brown is 225 how can the 4 inches taller more sculpted freak be the same weight?

I assumed you saw the report since it was everywhere a couple of months back.

I don't care either way.  Back to the point I was making.  If Semi can deal with size of 6'11" 225 (maybe more like 240lbs) greak freak, he can deal with the size of the 6'8" (whatever weight you want to say).  Lebron's skill level is what will be way more difficult for Semi to deal with versus his height and weight.

I love the general idea. Let's see how Semi does. Gonna need him to pitch in. Smart, Jaylen, Morris & Semi will all take their cracks.
