Best role defender you could find to guard Lebron. Also throw him a steady diet of Semi, Brown.

As long as you dont let Lebron score and pass at will, Celts have a good shot to make this a series.

well he better do everything better than he did against the Sixers because he was god awful in that series.  on the plus side, he does offer 6 more fouls to use against Lebron.  hopefully good hard ones that Lebron will feel throughout the series and not the dainty hand swipes he's prone to commit.

I kept hoping Brad would replace Morris with Ojelly last night. Morris just seems to be a volume shooter. Keep throwing it up and hope something goes in.

He almost cost us the game last night. He was brutal.

you've got a better chance of Charles Barkley passing you a basket of dinner rolls than you do having Morris pass you a ball on offense.  don't even get me started about how the team's rebounding goes down the toilet when Morris is at PF.

Morris is such a frustrating player to watch. Low IQ player who's a ball stopper and loves taking low percentage/highly contested long fadeaways. I love the contract, but I can't wait until he's somewhere else.

Does Stevens start Morris over Baynes against Cleveland?  Morris has been shooting very poorly for 3-4 weeks now.  If you start Morris what does that do the the scoring on the 2nd unit?  It will be very interesting.  No one is going to slow down LBJ but you can't let Thompson swallow up offensive rebounds and you can't let Korver and Love score 25.  LBJ can get his but if the C's can do a good job on the other Cavs this will be interesting.

with the way Morris has been playing, he'll hurt the offense in the first unit instead of the second unit and let Thompson/Love get whatever rebounds they want.  total waste of space on both ends of the floor against Philly.   Needs to produce in this next series or we need to starting looking at Semi as an alternative.  at least he'll play better D and not jack up a bunch of bad shots.

I think Morris will start based on the Cleveland lineup. The only time I see Baynes playing is when Tristan Kardashian plays. I am most worried about Love. He seems to kill us scoring and rebounding every time. I think Brad will hopefully devise a defense specifically aimed at limiting Love. LeBron is getting his regardless but hopefully we make him shoot from the outside rather than driving in for layups/dunks. I think (like Redick) we can limit Korver and the other one-dimensional guys but the key is Love. Morris you HAVE TO PLAY BETTER starting NOW!

is it wrong that when they showed Markieff in the stands during the games that I wondered if we could secretly exchange him for Marcus at halftime and hope no one on the Sixers or the refs would catch on?

MM is allergic to the hoop. he could have a clear path and wants to pullup and shoot a fadeaway. brad needs to chew him a new butt hole today.
LET'S GO CELTICS!

I have a weird gut feeling that he’ll be huge for us this series
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism

Not that it's a good thing, but he has to be one of the best in the NBA at contested shots, right? He never gets easy dunks/lay-ups, always dribbles into iso when he catches the ball - even when he's open, and seems to fade away on every shot he takes; yet, he manages to shoot 43% from the field and 37% from 3. I understand that 43% isn't stellar, but for a guy who exclusively takes difficult shots, it's really not that bad.

But, he really needs to step it up this series. Obviously he is here to defend Lebron, but he should have a much easier time against this porous CLE defense. He was brutal against Philly.

Meh, he was overall OK in this series. Role-player numbers, and he was instrumental through stretches when we really needed it particularly earlier in the series.

Yeah, he was awful yesterday, but it doesn't diminish his contributions earlier in the series.
