Shake my head.  The level of disrespect is palpable.

odds are geared towards getting an equal amount of money placed on both teams. thus, they move to what the public thinks.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

I understand that.  But my view remains the same.  Being the underdog in a close out game at home (when they have a 3-1 lead) and have been the underdog in every game is downright offensive.

blame the bettors not the odds makers.

I'm blaming the whole world.  Let's not act like this isn't disrespectful on some level.

Don't get mad, get even by making a bet.  I think betting on the Celtics would be a good bet for this game, as betting on them for series would have been with the odds what they were.

I am not a bettor and I did not put any money down on this series but I was on the record here saying I didn't think the Sixers were all that much better than the Bucks.  This series is one overtime, could have gone either way, game from being exactly where the Bucks series was after 4.

I think the Cs will shoot better at home and win one of the two home games (how is that for going out on a limb?).

I agree droop.

For the past few months we have been underrated and they Sixers have been overrated. Just go with it and take it to the bank. We were even underrated by a lot of folk on here. Look how many didn’t take advantage of the wager of us getting by the first round. There wasn’t a lot of confidence here.

I laid off last night, thinking if any game was going to be reffed in their favor, it would be last night. But I had them the first three games.

Another great example of that during these playoffs was PacErs/Cavs. I knew going in that the Pacers were the better team and should have won, but I took that knowledge and made some 💰.

Someone could’ve gotten rich off that series ( I didn’t). The Pacers covered ALL seven games, although it took a ‘Dipo 3 heave from 37 feet at the buzzer to do it in game 7. I had them for all 7 games and was pretty psyched.

I don't think it is disrespectful.  The Sixers have the 2 "best" players in the series.  They were up 22 and blew game 2, and if not for a few boneheaded plays down the stretch of game 3, should have won that one.  Outside of game 1, this has been an incredibly close series, and the world will often side with talent on two near equal teams.  That is just reality.

There is no credibility in claiming that Ben Simmons is better than Jayson Tatum 4 games into this series. One is a year younger, up 3-1, isn’t the worst shooter in the league, has outplayed the other guy, and shows up every night. That isn’t the worse player. Let’s try and react to the obvious facts in front of our eyes.
CelticsBlog 25 Fantasy Draft Champ/Commish - OKC Thunder:
PG: SGA (24-25, MVP)
SG: Klay Thompson (14-15)
SF: Kevin Durant (13-14, MVP)
PF: Evan Mobley (24-25, DPOY)
C: Rudy Gobert (18-19, DPOY)
B: JKidd, Vince, KAT, Siakam, Bam, Rose (MVP), Danny Green

Who do you think , besides philly fans, view the 76ers as having the best two players in the series? Horford was named an all-star this year (for the 5th time). Simmons, despite having like 4 cracks at it because of injury replacements was not even named a replacement all-star this year. Furthermore, Simmons has been talked about being exposed and there has been legitmate discussion of whether the 76ers are better off with TJ McConnell playing additional minutes this series over Simmons. Meanwhile, Al has casually averaged 17, 9 and 5 on 60% shooting from the field including the game winning basket in game 3. Who exactly is saying Simmons is a better play than Al Horford today? (Aside from 12 year olds collecting rookie cards I suppose).

Good News!

Celtics are 9-0 this season (playoffs included) when they are underdogs at home.

2-0 so far this series as well.  8)

Is this a surprise?

Sixers are not good in close games and the Sixers are giving a point and a half. Philly fans hate Santa Claus, cheer injuries to their own players, and think Cheese Wiz is a delicacy. They're dumb bettors too.

VG you will be happy to know I bet on the Celtics the first 3 games of this series and won a nice chunk of change. I haven't decided if I want to do anything game 5 yet. I did point out to people on this board repeatedly that the 76ers win streak and stretch of dominance may have been the easiest 22 stretch of a season in NBA history (I could not confirm whether it was or not).

As long as Barkley picks the Sixers, we’re good
