What a brat.

Hope that attitude carries into next series.

When Utah gives up on a player, it usually says something bad about them.

Williams/Hood/Lyles come to mind.

According to The Athletic's Jason Lloyd, Cleveland coach Tyronn Lue attempted to substitute Hood in for LeBron James with a 30-point lead with seven minutes, 38 seconds to play. However, the fourth-year player refused to enter the game, angering his teammates.

"This is the playoffs," an anonymous Cleveland player said. "We're trying to win a championship. This isn't about you."

Hood was the only guy not to play in Game 4.

Sounds like a kid with a p*ss poor attitude.

The thing is, he refused to come into a game he believed was a 'blow out or garbage minutes,' but none of it adds up because...

1) He's gonna be a RFA, so he's looking to get paid for his next contract. His terrible attitude is gonna deter suitors away.

2) Even if they had a substantial lead, there was still 7 minutes left to go... It wasn't definitely garbage minutes... Especially for someone who's averaging under 5 PPG in the playoffs... He should be playing to get as many points as possible, to make himself look good, and to give other players the needed rest.

3) The fact he had this awful attitude to being benched in favor for Cedi, only tells me that Hood is mentally weak, and this will once again affect how much he gets paid.

What a sore loser. Man... Imagine if T-Roz refused to check in...

and this might be the reason why. Maybe his agent told him not to?

you don't see Greg Monroe playing in blowouts

not saying I side with him.  But considering reputation/how it is perceived on TV, I can see he is trying to save face

What..?

In what world would any competent agent tell his RFA player to not play in the playoffs of all time, especially when his numbers have been EXTREMELY horrible!

Quote
In 10 games this postseason, he has averaged 4.6 points on 39.6 percent shooting and 13.3 percent from beyond the arc. He averaged 10.8 points on 44.2 percent shooting (35.2 percent from three) in 21 games following a midseason trade to Cleveland.

Hood was acquired to be a solid three-and-D player, but he hasn't panned out.

Per Lloyd, Cavs general manager Koby Altman intends to meet with Hood to give him a chance to explain himself. Depending on the answer, a suspension could be in play.

His reputation has always been awful anyways... The fact he's acting like a little !@#$% is definitely not doing him any favors, and if his agent advised him not to play, he should be fired ASAP.

If this happened as reported, he cost himself a lot of money.

It probably did, but wait for the damage control to follow from front office/player's agent, etc.

Not just yet

He gets some mins as the playoff moves forward (and performs well)

that incident likely forgotten

I doubt it. People still remember Scottie Pippen refusing to enter a game.

Hood is underperforming and has a bad attitude. GMs will remember that.

so, you are saying that there still is some justice in the world?  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
