I just think this is A fair topic now, that Rozier has came so far so fast, Irving has been banged up his whole career, and after watching Hayward go down all season long is it really worth tying up that that much money on one player.

Kyrie Irving is a max level player, IMO. I’d rather sell high on Rozier.

Keep Irving and go for the championship. Then let someone else over pay him.

Westbrook got 5 years 205 million at 28 years old. Kyrie is better.

One thing we must never forget is the Modern Era we're watching in the NBA right now.

The Era of Friends, buds, BFF's, etc, etc, etc...

Kyrie Irving - on top of his immense talent - is widely liked around the NBA. THAT ALONE is drawing power.

He's been to an NBA Finals and hit some BIG SHOTS. We all witnessed this. He's also a Champion.

He was one of the first players chosen by LeBron James for the All-Star game. This was in spite of the way he departed CLE.

These things matter nowadays in the NBA....popularity...familiarity....DRAWING POWER.

Kyrie is only 25 or 26 years old and if we're looking to draw more talent to BOS in the next few years we'd better have HIM (and Uncle Drew) present.

What Scary T is doing is AMAZING, but let's see how far he (and JB, Tatum and Big Al and Co) can take us this season.

I voted YES - pay Uncle Drew his money.

Without a doubt. Top 3 PG in the league IMO. Our best player, is a good mentor for our young guys while still being young himself, and is very likable.

People are acting as if Rozier has a whole season of being amazing under his belt. He averaged 11/5/3 on pretty dodgy shooting splits. Don't get me wrong, he's an amazing bench guard. But that's what he is. An amazing bench guard.
People are just assuming he can maintain this throughout a season as a starter, which is a very dangerous road to go down. He's a much worse passer and reader of the game than Kyrie, not to mention shooter and scorer in general.

I'm loving what he's doing, but people need to chill

Whichever way this goes, I hope Wyc is putting a lot of money in his piggy bank. This team is going to get expensive to maintain in a couple years.

I'm not advocating putting all of our chips in on Rozier but if we could move Kyrie for an excellent big man then I'd strongly consider it. Everyone is talking about Rozier's playoffs as being a revelation but it isn't. The kid averaged 16/6/5 in 16 starts this year before the playoffs even started. He started serving notice as soon as he got the starting gig. He's one of those guys who plays better the longer he's on the court and I love the ice-water in his veins.

So if we managed to sign Rozier to an extension would I consider moving Kyrie? With Brown, Tatum and Hayward I surely would because we don't need him if those guys are healthy and scoring. That's plenty of outside shooting right there. However, I don't think that's going to happen and that's the difference between NBA 2K and the real world. It wouldn't look good if Danny turned around and traded him after getting him for IT. Kyrie is popular with fans and with players and he's the kind of guy who will attract other talent. So I think Uncle Drew stays unless something else dramatic happens.

Now if we get to the NBA Finals? Or even more unlikely, win it with Rozier playing like he is? Then the dynamic changes. I don't see how you take the starting gig back from Terry at that point. Kyrie would have been Wally Pipped at that point.
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

Good news is the max for his upcoming contract is going to be roughly $188 over 5 years.
