With the emergence of Brown, and Tatum, along with Rozier stepping up, how do we match up against GSW? One of my good friends and I, were arguing about who would be able to win in a 7 game series. I told him admittedly that the GSW is a more talented team, and could win in a 7 game series, but I mentioned that their lack of bench production, (they have nice bench players, but I think ours would blow theirs out of the water,) in comparison to ours seem to have the advantage.

What do you guys think? Has the Jay Team, Rozay, and our bench players like Theis and Smart changed your mind? Can we eclipse GSW, and finally beat them next year with this rotation as is healthy in a 7 game series? If Hayward can come back relatively healthy, albeit somewhat rocky considering his previous injury, are we not the team that can beat GSW as opposed to the Rockets? I can only see 3 teams that could honestly even stop GSW, and that's the Celtics, Rockets, and maybe the Jazz, (if they can manage to build some more scorers around Mitchell. Also a powerhouse defensively sound team.) 76ers would be in that conversation, but they need some more experience.

No.  I think this team would get slaughtered if they made the Finals.

Add Irving & Hayward back to the picture next season & you have a different story.

I don't think you're getting my point.

I'm suggesting that once we get Hayward back healthy, and Kyrie. Our team as is constructed when healthy next year, could definitely give the GSW a run for their money. The emergence of Jay Team and Rozay have only solidified my belief.

Yes.  This team should give GSW a run for their money next year.

Outside the scenario of Philly adding Lebron, I envision Boston being the prohibitive favorite to come out of the East next summer.

I already started a thread saying we win it all next year, and I believe it.  To answer your question, we will match up well against pretty much any team.  And unlike GS, who has just a body at center and draymond (who runs hot and cold), we theoretically can put five dangerous guys on the floor at one time.  Horford, Tatum, Hayward, Brown, and Kyrie can all score in multiple ways and they can all shoot.  Throw in the expected growth of Tatum and Brown, with the addition of Hayward and Kyrie and you have one heck of a team.

This team is going to be a tough tough cover next year and I fully expect the best record in the league.

I think Danny built this team to dethrone GSW.

Warriors got pardoned this season.

Next season they get executed.

We can beat GSW this season. If the Celts make it to the finals,  Celts matchup tremendously against GSW

At every position, there would be a defender causing problems for GSW.   Brown , Semi, Morris on Durant.  Smart on Thompson (Smart owns Thompson), Rozier on curry.   Horford has played well against Draymond

This unit has the potential but how fast can they put it together is the big question.  They need to win a few on the road.  They have to prove they can do this.

I'll say this again... Our problem has always been how to get by the East... The finals for me I think we Danny has built a team that can beat GS or even the Rockets but we somehow aren't built enough to get past LeQueen... I have no idea why Horford dissappears everytime he meets the Cavs..just like the series last yr.

Hopefully the improvements in JB and the accelerated growth of Tatum and Rozier will be enough to get past both the Sixers and the Cavs if we get there.

We have the best coach out there that can game plan the Warriors.

You really gonna say that after how well Horford has been doing this playoffs? Okay, well let's wait and see if the Raptors can finish them off. If not, I predict us beating the Cavs honestly. I'm not that convinced they are that great of a team.

I think right now, with all the injuries, we would be swept really bad. We wouldn't be able to score more than 80 points a game against them.

But, with Hayward and Kyrie? Sure. We could make a competitive series.

Kind of hard to say "if healthy" seems most teams have a few guys banged up by the time NBA finals is on. We have to see if the team actually gets better and if they add any impact guys by then.

Didn’t the celtics split the season series with them this year? i think the Celtics would lose this year, but not in a sweep.

I honestly don't know what Kyrie - Brown - Hayward - Tatum - Horford would be capable of in a playoff run.

I'm excited to find out.

As stacked as the Warriors are, if they do continue their run to another title this year, I imagine they would be very, very tired by the time next year's Finals roll around.  That could give the Celts a really good chance if they're healthy.
