Do these guys picking Philly watch the games?
These slow footed Sixers can't stop Rozier, Tatum, or Horford.

I don’t understand why most people assume Philly will win this series. Boston has beaten them in 4 out of 5 games this season, including going 1-1 without Irving. The Celtics have the better coach and home court advantage. Philly’s best two players are basically rookies, including one who couldn’t make an outside shot if the rim was the size of the ocean. The Celtics have a max player who can be relied upon in crunch time, a PG that is oozing with confidence, two young wing players that can shoot and aren’t afraid of the big moments, and a pit bull that will do anything to win.

Will always love 'Toine and the good times he had in Green.

With that being said he shouldn't count us out.

This is Boston.

Boston will fight, choke

whatever they need to do to scrape this thing out.

He should know this.

I don’t understand why most people assume Philly will win this series.

It's mostly people from one of two camps:

A) Hinkie fanboys who talked a lot of crap about how the "process" was such a brilliant strategy. These people are now so heavily invested in being proven right they'll say anything, regardless of how ridiculous, to validate their previous nonsensical opinions.

B) National media blowhards who want to hype up Embiid and Simmons as the next great duo. Sure, these are two very good players, but both have a long way to go before they deserve to be held in the esteem they are currently being held.

As for Antoine Walker, he was always a bit on the dull side, so him making such a claim is probably proof the exact opposite is likely to happen.

Exactly. The Sixers are a slow team but need to play fast to win so slow them down on one end and speed them up on the other.

I like the idea of trying to give the team something to get fired up about. More of
"They ain't winning anything till they can win on the road", and "They getting lucky" stuff.

I was watching the Best of Boston Sports Tonight show last night, when they did a segment on the Celtics and showed the clip of Antoine making his prediction. My first reaction was, why are they showing Jason Whitlock, I thought the clip was about Antoine’s prediction. OMG, did Walker put on some lb’s.

Actually I think letting Embiid get 30 is the key in this series. I dont want their shooters getting into rhythm or Simmons controlling the game.
Oh it definitely is, if we can single cover Embiid and Simmons for the most part and stick with their shooters the Celtics are in great shape defensively.

The question remains, can the C's continue to score. I think we'll be okay at home, I'm very worried on the road.

Yeah, this could be 2nd series in a row where having home court advantage is going to be huge.

We had 3 guys (Rozier, Horford and Tatum) combine for 83 points.  Not even KG+Pierce+Ray ever accomplished combining for that many points.

As a whole, we shot over 48% from three.

Philly's defense was atrocious.

Redick, Saric, Bellinelli, Covington and Ilyasova are shot above 36% from three this season.

They combined for 3-20 in game 1.

If we can keep that up, we will keep this series competitive.  Otherwise, Philly can take control of this series in Game 2 by stealing home court.

If we “keep that up, we will keep this series competitive”?.

Dude, we just kicked your team’s arse. If we “keep that up” we will sweep. I don’t think we will (keep that up or sweep) by the way. Just pointing out the disconnect in your words.

if we keep up that level of impossible play, I like our chances of not losing in 5.

We haven't lost a game in this series yet.
