Things that are probably true:

We shot way above our normal level from three, while Philly shot well below theirs.
Philly's defense was way off.
They're going to come out p---ed in Game 2, and that in and of itself is probably an advantage for them.
This kind of blowout won't happen again.

And here's a list of things that I don't care about right now, as I bask in last night's glory:

We shot way above our normal level from three, while Philly shot well below theirs.
Philly's defense was way off.
They're going to come out p---ed in Game 2, and that in and of itself is probably an advantage for them.

Philly may shoot better, but the Celtics should get back another top defender.

I expect a closer game but I think the Celtics defense will match up well with the 76ers and I think their defense will struggle containing the athletes on the Celtics team.   And I expect the Celtics to shoot well at home.

Should they? Hamstring strains, even grade one, can sometimes sideline players for weeks.

Philly will shoot better...Boston might return to earth a bit..but Philly's defense is not good enough to totally shut down the C's.

Boston's defense is good enough to win them game 2. It will be closer, but I expect Boston pulls it out and heads to Philly 2-0.

The C's need to win all home games to advance.  Philly is tough at home and the C's may be able to sneak a win in game 4 at Philly.  If Brown plays game two I expect the C's to win.  If he does not then it will be tough.  I don't see Philly's role players shooting this bad again.  The C's got out rebounded in this game and still won.  That's a rarity unless the other team just shoots poorly.  If the C's want to win game two they need to do a better job on the boards.

Speaking of slow footed, who was saying reddick was very good defensively earlier? That didn't age wel

Redick WAS a good defender---but that was on Ray Allen, like 9 years ago.

Sorry to judge, but I don't think that it was a good idea to have Redick guard Jayson Tatum

Celtics won't be hot from 3 for the entire season. But there's a reason they shot so well in the first place. Philly has multiple bad matchups to deal with (Rozier, Tatum, Horford) and I believe Morris is another terrible matchup for them to defend that hasn't been exploited yet. Jaylen Brown could be coming back to provide another threat.

Brett Brown will need to work some kind of magic to handle these problems on defense. Philly offense will need to make up the difference, and it will get better. But it won't be easy for them to overcome for 4 games of the next 6.

All the experts that said Celtics could not win are now giving all kinds of excuses for the sixers, from rust to just a bad outing as if Celtics had nothing to do with it.

They will make their attempts at adjustments but we have the better coach..sixers will just adjust themselves into deeper problems. Celtics are more athletic than the sixers and they can’t adjust that.

My favorite stat of the night: Jayson Tatum 11/12 from the FT line.

Terry was great but he's noting going to go 7/9 from 3 again. Horford was great but he's not going to have a .917 eFG% again. Jayson Tatum being aggressive and going to the rim and getting to the line when his shot isn't falling (1/5 from 3 last night) shows maturity and is a sustainable strategy.

The Celtics aren't going to shoot like they did last night every game but they left a lot on the table, too. Morris will get hot at some point. Jaylen didn't play. Monroe didn't play. Smart hasn't had one of his wacky games where he makes a bunch of shots so we might still see one of those.

Great win. I'm encouraged.

I think we're a bit beyond thinking positive here. I won't be shocked if he doesn't play the entire series. I certainly don't expect him back this week.

Timeframes for rehabilitation and return to sport vary depending on the nature and severity of the strain. As a general rule, Grade 1 hamstring strains should be rested from sporting activity for about three weeks and Grade 2 injuries for a minimum of four to eight weeks.

I think you are being overly negative on this one. He almost played in game 1.

He already said he will play in game 2:

And hopefully the young 76ers buy into that and get smacked again.

Maybe. I just hope he doesn't make it worse. He's going to be running and jumping on it, not playing chess.

edit: Even Brown realizes as much...

I don't expect him back until game three which is the 5th.

That would give him about a week from original aggravation which is tighter than you'd like it to be but not unreasonable.
