I mean we have Nader on the bench so what are we worried about

Boy, I hope this is sarcasm, because Nader is beyond terrible.

You caught me. Definite sarcasm because I cannot stand ever seeing him in the game. I seriously would prefer to see Bird in the game before Nader.

I think I'd prefer to see Scalabrine back in uniform before Nader.

All we need is for this kid to tear something and never be the same. I need him close to 100% and pain free before I even think about risking Jaylen. I have to be really really sure.

I'm in the same boat. No risks with the youngins. This experience is awesome for them dont get me wrong, but no way I'm risking Jaylen's long term outlook if there is even a chance.

Even though it was crazy endearing seeing him trying to get back in all night, it is just better to be safe.

The hamstring, while not a huge deal in itself if he tears it on the last game of the season, is probably the second major stabilizer of the knee, and weakness exposes the ACL to increased stress.

This is a tough one. I get where the wait till hes 100% thing is coming from, but honestly I care less about that then the chances he makes things worse. Obviously its the last series of the season so a re injury isnt the end of the world, but you dont want an injury that is gonna prevent him form working on his game this summer.

He seems pretty dead set on playing so we'll see.

I would sit him game 1 and hope for Thursday which gives him 5 days. I mean we have Nader on the bench so what are we worried about? Is there a way we can activate Bird for game 1 if Jaylen sits?

Nader  ?   Gee why didn't I think of that ?  Brilliant !

Going with Nader ....that makes everything alright ...TP

This team has been so resilient, it’s within the scope of possibility that they can be competitive in Game 1 without Jaylen. More likely they lose, but there’s a chance. If 3 extra days of rest gives the strain a chance to really heal, then I think it’s a no-brainer.

If he is medically cleared and feeling good, play him. If not, don't play him. Its really just that simple.

"Could play in the series" aren't exactly encouraging words.  Doubtful for tomorrow & who knows about Thursday.

Not good news.

If I were Brad, that is what I would say too, regardless if Jaylen was going to play or not.

But the injury isn't good no matter what.  Jaylen needs to be at his most athletic to help run down Simmons, JJ Redick

Sure.  But as a fan, that doesn't exactly come across as reassuring.
