Will Giannis be bothered by this and is defense aided?
As a recent young star will he get calls?
Does the edge go to defense in a more half court game? How bad is Giannis foul shooting under playoff pressure? could running Baynes and Monroe at him be disruptive
Even Semi and Morris could attempt to disrupt him -but we need Morris not in foul trouble,

I’m 100 % sure the Celtics will not be allowed to even breathe on Giannis

This is why we need Smart back. He is built for the playoffs.
Or to play strong safety.

Giannis has already played like a superstar in the playoffs.  So no, he won’t be shaken one bit by the physicality of the playoffs.

This is what I'm expecting.
There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, 'Thy will be done,' and those to whom God says, 'All right, then, have it your way.'

You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.

We won't be allowed to play any defense on Giannis, especially Horford and Morris.  So expect two of our most important players to be in foul trouble.  However, their players will be allowed to mug and maul our guys at will.

If I'm gonna end up fouling the likes of Harden anyway, I'd do it in a Bad Boy Piston fashion. Might as well make the best out of it if you're gonna get called for silly fouls.

Definitely, I'd send Baynes to rough him up, not in the Laimbeer way though, that's dirty.

What I find more egregious in the games I've seen this season isn't the phantom calls Giannis seems to get but the lack of calls against him when he clearly does an offensive foul (most notable example I feel would be the failed poster on Baynes where he extended his arm out)

What I noticed the most though, and I recommend you all watch as well is watch the way he sets screens.... I feel like I've NEVER seen him set a legal screen in any game I've seen of him.

The key to stopping Giannis would be not to let him drive and get momentum as he goes to the hole.   He  attacks a lot from the three point line and makes a b-line for the basket.  This allows him to get up his momentum and he is unstoppable.   We have to trap him on the penetration and he will look a lot more like a normal player.

I'd REALLY love to have Smart back for this series.

While I still like our shot against MIL, Smart had a way of defending Giannis and getting up UNDER him and keeping him off balance.

The Greek Freak will light us up and that's okay as long as we lock down the rest of their team.
