3 teams currently tied for 3rd worst (Atlanta, Orlando, Dallas).  Right now Sacto is 6th worst a game ahead of Chicago, who is a game ahead of both Brooklyn and New York.  The Lakers are currently 10th worst, a half a game ahead of Charlotte, then you have Detroit, the Clippers, and the loser of the Wolves/Nuggets game (the winner makes the playoffs and theoretically could be as high as 4th) rounding out the lottery.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Bigs - Shaquille O'Neal, Victor Wembanyama
Wings -  Lebron James
Guards - Luka Doncic

Rest everyone tomorrow night.  Hand BKN a gift W. It's the least the Celtics could do after fleecing the hell out of them.

Then just hope lightning doesn't strike CLE again.

Didn't the FO evaluate the BRK pick last off-season and came to the conclusion the Nets would be better than the Lakers?

Another "brilliant" off-season move by the clown posse.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

If only the FO had the foresight to build some insurance into that LAL pick.....

not necesarily...

everone knew both will be lottery teams. Bkn was devatated with injuries to Russell, then Fakers made those moves to bolster their line up...

but hey, you never know. Its been done before that 9th worst record have won the lottery twice..maybe this time fate would smile on the Fakers and let them win 2nd or 3rd pick in the draft  :D :D

I wouldn't call that foresight, more like "the least you can expect, considering what we gave up".

Proof is in the pudding, though. Danny took the wrong turn once again.

It's a helluva hot take, though.   You have to put on oven mitts.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

When has it ever been confirmed that the Cavs would've been willing to take the Lakers' 2-5 pick over the Brooklyn unprotected pick? I see a lot of people implying that this was the one Danny chose to trade as if he could've dealt either one.

Haha - that is awesome!  ;D

And what insurance is Casper talking about? One team is going to end up with the 9th pick and the other 10th - are either of those picks ones that we would really want this year - especially considering the fact that we are desperately trying to stay under the luxury tax next season?

I don't know where Sacramento will finish next year, but I am more than happy to take my chances with that pick over either the BKN or LAL pick this year.

Obviously the ideal outcome of the trade would have been the Nets finishing outside the top 10 and Kyrie playing the whole year, but the way things have gone are far from the worst case scenario.

My worst case scenario was the Nets yield a top 3 pick to the Cavs while Isaiah comes back in 25 ppg form, Crowder is a key 3-and-D piece forth Cavs, meanwhile Kyrie plays hero ball and fails to elevate the team.

We're a long way off from that scenario.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.
