BRING BACK MIKAEL PÏETRUS!

Solid diacritics game, but it looks like this: Mickaël Piétrus

Bogut and T. Allen would be nice stopgap options.

Yeah, Bogut has always been perfect for this team.

And I would love to see TA off into the sunset with another 2 year vet min contract after this year..

If the Cs get the hardship roster spot I wouldn't be surprised to see them give a couple of games to one of the players on the red claws. Maybe even Anthony Bennett.

Yeah, why not give Bennett a shot for a few games while we need healthy bodies?

Anyone have any news as to how he's doing with the Red Claws?

At this point anybody signed isn't going to help the team win playoff games, they would just be bodies to fill in minutes to get us to the playoffs without running our remaining guys ragged.

I know the Celtics still have roughly $3 million in cap space. Who are people discussing? Are there any rumors out there?

Is this accurate?  I thought we could only offer minimum level contracts at this point.

There's been some confusion about our injury exception, with some incorrectly believing we could use the "leftover" from the Monroe signing which is about $3 million. But the whole exception expired when we signed Monroe.

So you are correct, we have no space.

He's not a true big, but my first thought with Theis gone is more minutes for Morris, while only a few more minutes for Baynes.

(with obvious increased reliance on Greg Monroe)

Brown comes back after this week. I don't think we are as bad off as we could be. This team is one of the deepest teams in the league.

Obviously we aren't as good without Irving, Hayward, Smart, Theis, and Brown, but our depth can weather this storm.

to help shed some light on possible options for the celtics, here is part of the thread on the topic over at SoSH:

A hardship exemption means clearing a fairly high hurdle. A team can apply to the NBA Board of Governors for an additional roster spot, but it can get one automatically if at least four players on the roster to be injured or ill:

In the event that a Member [read "team"--GM49] has three (3) Players on its Active List and/or Inactive List who are unable to perform playing services due to injury or illness and such Member has an additional Player who becomes unable to perform playing services due to injury or illness, it may substitute a Player in his stead after the following has occurred:

(a) each of the three (3) injured or ill Players and the additional injured or ill Player has missed a minimum of three (3) consecutive games due to injury or illness; and

(b) the Commissioner’s Office has determined, through an independent physician, if necessary, that at the time the replacement Player is signed, each of the three (3) injured or ill Players on the Member’s Active and/or Inactive List, and the additional injured or ill Player, will continue to be unable to perform playing services due to injury or illness.

So, Hayward, Theis, and Smart would certainly qualify as the three injured or ill players, and Brown would count as the fourth if he needed to be out for an extended period of time.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Until Brown comes back, this team is in trouble.  That bench only has Monroe as a legit rotation player.  I wouldn't even count Larkin.  The rest are rookies who have all shown various levels of incompetence.
