There is a whole different look to his game a snap and a crisp decisiveness. What are the possibilities with Marcus and Roziers hustle  and Brads ability to pull more out of players.
I am so used to what i thought was a slow, out of shape non rebounder that i thought the tape was running fast in the last win .Rozier was pushing the ball and Marcus was orchrastrating both ends.

Remember that almost no look cross court pass the commentator picked up on
.On the previous touch in this possession Marcus was in that corner wide open and he said something to Irving as they switched positions on a side inbound. That no look was planned-

He is what he is and that's a low efficient shooting ball-stopper who seems to consistently play harder when he's looking for his shot on offense than he ever is on defense. His contract is more valuable than his play and he'll be gone when it expires (summer of 19) if not earlier.

Brad's system and the quality of the surrounding shooters is perfect for Morris.  He routinely is in single coverage and has enough moves to get his shot off cleanly.

Don't forget about his decent defensive play too.

All that said, I don't think he's getting much better after so many years in the league.  This is his peak.

Now that he seems fully healthy, I like the swagger he gives second unit. Big part of bench’s transformation offensively. I don’t agree with Eddie regarding his defense, I see a lot of effort. At least now.

He’s up and down, but who else on that second unit do you want shooting the ball?

He is the real X factor. When he plays well Boston wins.

All valid points.  The flip side is that he can be an absolute game changer when he gets hot.  Morris is the second best natural scorer on our team at this stage.

I agree with your assessment of his offensive game and completely disagree with how you see his defense. Every game I've seen he's been engaged defensively and makes a lot of good plays. He's not a gamechanger on that end but he gets low and plays physical and takes care of his assignments.

He's on a hot streak right now. The pendulum will swing and he'll look terrible when these shots aren't going down but then that pendulum will swing back again and he'll look like an offensive force. Hopefully it happens when the C's need it most and he keeps his defensive intensity up.

I think he would be almost a net negative as a starter but he is perfect for the second unit.  We really need what Morris brings to the second unit.  He can create better shots for himself at a higher volume than just about anyone on our bench.

Morris has the ability to get hot and score buckets in bunches.  That's what we need at times.  So I see him progressing as a positive sign for the 2nd unit.  Bench points will become increasingly important as the season progresses and the playoffs approach.

Having guys who can score when called upon like Rozier, Morris, and Monroe gives our 2nd unit a big boost.

If you look at what he did last year and now that he seems healthy he is fully capable of 20 point plus games even 30 plus when he gets hot. He is great for our second unit.

Going forward into next year when Gordon comes back with the numbers crunch he becomes less necessary (I’m hoping we bring back Monroe, Baynes, and Smart).  Morris’s contract makes him easily tradable and the remaining season can be like an audition for him.  I’d like to get less back in salary in a trade maybe sooneone you would waive (to help bring back the guys I mentioned), and maybe get some sort of future pick.

A certain player may be totally ineffective on one team, and that same player is exactly what another team needs, that's the beauty of a team concept sport.

Morris fits well with this Celtic team.

This continual hunt for a team full of flawless players is irrational.

I don't think Morris is getting any better. He is a solid defender who can be a light it up scorer given the right situation. Playing against other team's benches with a bunch of Celtics that at times can't create their own offense, while Morris can, is a perfect situation for him. He is quite the imperfect player that seems to have found a perfect niche for his skills.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to watch as much recently, but when looking at the box scores one point comes to my mind is that he missed training camp, has been in and out of the lineup due to his knee for probably half the season off the top of my head. Perhaps he's finally settling into the system and getting his conditioning up to a proper game level.
