Have no idea why Horford thought he was the main option several trips down

Kyrie’s Shot that was half way down and went out

That was really the turning point. It turned what would have been an 8 point lead into a 1 point deficit when they hit 2 treys immediately after.

Up 3..under there and Rozier gets the rebound. Tried to dribble and was stripped.

Houston hits the three

Then is was about three misses by horford after that. He was terrible

Thanks Kyrie and Average Al! Would've been a big win.  >:( You both have to be better in these games.

-22 for Al and -17 for Kyrie. That is laughable considering Monroe was a +23 (the whole bench was a + and the only starter who wasn't a - was Tatum who was even).

Horford seemed noticeably worse than Kyrie - especially at the end - but I guess we have really come to depend on Kyrie while letting Al's and his lack of offense off the hook.
its ok to have a bad game. its the coach's job to put the right players in the game!

Now I know how Marcus felt right before he hit that picture glass.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

I always have to laugh at the dumb, reactionary hot takes after a close, tough loss.

Just a reminder - Al also blew the game winner for us last year in Houston by missing a bunny layup at the buzzer. (Granted, that was a game that the refs LEGITIMATELY stole from us by incorrectly calling an AB 3 a 2.)

Al also made the shot that gave the Celtics the lead the last time the Rockets and the Celtics played.

Sure, but IIRC, Al was also pretty bad that entire game before making the winning shot.

Either way, he’s been very bad since ASB and has to step it up.

On paper, that was as frustrating as a loss can be.

Morale-wise, that was as good of a victory as one can be.

Tonight proved to me that the Celtics really do belong in the conversation among the contenders. I can't say I felt the same headed into the all-star break.

This team barely to the Rockets despite lackluster play from its two best players. I can't complain.

I would love to see this team next year with Kyrie-Jaylen-Hayward-Tatum-Horford-Smart-Rozier-Morris-Monroe rotation.  :o

Refs not granting Boston the time out when Horford and Stevens were calling for it is frustrating

I always have to laugh at the dumb, reactionary hot takes after a close, tough loss.

There isn’t anything “hot takey” about saying our stars, especially Horford, played like poo tonight and were fundamental in us coughing up the game; it’s legitimately empirically verified in the stats. It’s fairly difficult to have such low +/- numbers in a 3 point game.

Further, Al has been garbage ever since the ASB, distancing this critique even more from a “hot take.”

Starting to accept Boston is going to be the two seed and will get Cleveland in round two

Agreed that Horford's clearly in a funk, but tonight's loss wasn't just on him. The Celtics as a team had plenty of chances to put it away and they didn't.

Also, that game where Horford missed the buzzer beater last year in Houston, he put up a statline of 21-9-6. That's a pretty good line in a big game.

Games like tonight happen and there's not much anyone can do about it.

You're also the person who continually dismisses the Rockets for no apparent reason.

Hard to take anything you say seriously.
