Espn: cavs projected chance to beat Boston in 2nd round is only 23%

We have best chances so far beacause we will face irvingless Cavs and without Kyrie, they're at least 30% weaker team now, not to mention roster changes. I watched las night Raptors at Wsh. They are still not a serious play-off team. DeRozan plays excellent basketball at the moment, but on the other hand, Lowry has lost his biggest weapon - his shooting. We just need to be healthy and keep our pace, we can win the East this season, I'm pretty sure.

Now the odds are favoring the cavs more and you are citing them. I couldn't make this stuff up. They are a flawed team with bad defense. They could win the east for sure but they have flaws

no you said it was the lowest it ever been which just wasn't true as they had already started going back up as a result of the trades. And the Cavs have always been a clear favorite in Vegas as they have been - all season long while Boston has been + all season long.  You are the one that claimed they were about even and that has never been the case

To be honest, in regards to the Cavaliers playing Golden State or Houston in the Finals (or TOR in the ECF)... do they even have a 2nd guy who "strikes fear" in their eyes.

Like, I'm sure Irving was that guy, but who is now? Clarkson? Hood? Solid players, but not on Kyrie-type level.

And Love isn't someone who typically lights it up vs. GSW (in fact, it's a mismatch for him), so...

Moranis. 3 days before the trade deadline they were a pickem against the Celtics. Right after the deadline they were still +160 (which was their lowest rating since the day of this Irving trade)  I do this stuff as a pretty legitimate secondary income source and have thousands of pages in excel and other odds programs i subscribe to  that I look at numerous times each day.  I have said in my posts has been accurate and frankly your half informed and frequently inaccurate discussions of "odds" "vegas" etc is over the top

Tars if you are serious you could have gotten the cavs at plus odds before the deadline. They then got back to -230 after beating the Celtics before the break. Now they are moving strongly in the other direction. If you are serious about this stuff it almost becomes like day trading and you can buy and sell stock on the same team winning it many times before the playoffs even start.

That is all great...but if Boston finishes as the 2 and gets the Bucks in round 1....they might not get to Cleveland or anyone else in round 2
