That team is a mess! Its really tough being a new guy in a team as dysfunctional as that, not seeing effort from guys and not being able to do anything yourself coz you are just recovering. Sure he could talk less, but a bad situation nonetheless.

I feel bad that pathetic Cavs fans are booing him when the entire team is a disaster.

I don’t. He honestly seems to be in the middle of all this maelstrom. Lebron-led teams have had troubles before but even with a salty 2nd best player in Kyrie, they’ve found ways to get through it. This is a team chock full of vets (Wade, Korver, Crowder, Love, etc.) who all should know better but outside looking in, it seems like IT is one of the instigators of all this trouble.

It could just be a regression to the mean. He had a “honeymoon” phase here in Boston but maybe he’s reverting back to who he was in Sac-town.

I 100% agree. The Little Guy doesn't deserve any of this.

And he's only played what... 12 games?? Of course he might be rusty now.

Not like the rest of the team is doing extremely well either (even LBJ has looked "human" the past 3 weeks)

Agreed.  He shoulda just said thanks Boston and moved on instead of whining about it and making a big deal the whole time he's on another team.  He's like a jaded ex.  Then he gets on the team and instead of just being accommodating and humble, he acts like he's the greatest ever.  He needs to bring it down and people would probably be more sympathetic

TP. I also agree 100%

He wasn't the cause of this team imploding - they were doing that long before he came back. He didn't ask to be traded. He's coming off injury and trying hard. And his teammates can't be bothered to give him a hand up? What kind of BS is that? If he's disliked, then the team has mismanaged him. If he's not, then they simply don't care. And since they're getting beat by 30, it appears they don't care.

I'm tired about hearing Cleveland and how they'll be better in the playoffs. They won't. They're simply too vulnerable and too old. Bron's still awesome but he's not *quite* at the level he once was. I wouldn't put it past him to get back to that level in the playoffs but I've said it repeatedly. The guy has played an incredible amount of minutes in his career and at some point Father Time beats everyone. Lebron has now played over 52,000 minutes in his career including playoffs. He's played more minutes than old man Robert Parish. He's up there with guys like Havlicek, Gary Payton and Reggie Miller. He's only about 1,000 minutes from John Stockton, who played until he was 40!. Think about those guys at the end of their careers and it's amazing that he's doing what he is on the court. But I don't think he's the same player anymore. No one is after that many minutes.

Then there's guys like Wade, Jeff Green, Kyle Korver, Rose, JR Smith and Calderon. That's a good team from 5 years ago. But now they're all very flawed players and absolute sieves on defense. Think about that - their entire bench (well, Smith doesn't come off the bench) is absolutely inept on defense. We all know even a healthy IT is a turnstile on defense as well. That's the majority of everyone who plays significant minutes for the team.

Thompson and Shumpert are liabilities on the other end. Love is hurt and doesn't look motivated. Crowder has yet to fit in.

This isn't like the Houston team of the 90s or the Celtics team that just treaded water until the playoffs and came on strong. Those teams had good SRS ratings even if they didn't perform well in the regular season. They were also proven teams and were largely intact from previous winning years. Cleveland actually has a slightly negative SRS this year and is actually overperforming their expected W-L. Is it impossible to think they'll turn it around? Of course not. Not so long as Lebron is there. But as far as them being the "team to beat" in the East, that ship has sailed. Boston and Toronto are the teams to beat.
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

The team wanted a more defense-minded guard to play alongside cousins. Given how horrible that FO is, do you trust their judgement?

His team liked him too. Many were mad when they let him go, even Boogie got along with him.

I feel a little bad for him, but would 100% re-do that trade a hundred times for Kyrie.

Their fans are ticked that he was the one that said something about Love not being on the bench. The fact that he's not playing well adds fuel to the fire.

It's beyond him looking rusty. He clearly lost a step and for a 5'9" player like IT that is his entire game. He is now a total defensive liability and hurts the Cavs every time he is on the court. BS knew how to hide IT. Tyronn Lue doesn't and IT is now even slower which means he can be attacked with no pity at the defensive end. You saw how the Rockets could shoot over him all night. The Cavs are playing with 4 men when IT is on the floor and their defenders aren't good to begin with thanks to the continued regression of Crowder.

The reason his shot has been off is he is adjusting to have lost a step. I don't know if he will get that step back once the rust comes off. So right now he is very inefficient offensive player and a black hole on defense. So you can understand Cavs fan not wanting him on the court right now.

he is stuck on a team of lazy old has beens bums .

Jae and IT were coached to a high level

There is no coaching on Cleveland , no voice of authority to demand personal effort and responsibility for actually trying .

Lebron is uncoachable TOTALLY at this point .....almost unhireable .....he wom't listen to authority or team system of,play .   He wom't accept criticism or benching for lack of effort.

Lebron is responsible for most of the poor attitude personalities brough on tomthe team , many poor contracts .

His brain is shrinking with his physical gifts too.

He's part of the problem.

Him coming on the squad and acting like he's the 2nd best player on the team out of the gate and calling out his teammates for their defensive effort while he is the worst defensive player in the league all contribute to him ruining their locker room chemistry.
