I would think Philly would have their eyes all over this. If Ben Simmons is your PG, Avery Bradley would be the perfect compliment as a SG who specializes in guarding quick PG's and who does his best work off ball (as both Spot-up shooter and cutter).

He would be perfect. But why would Philly give up an asset when they can just pick him up this summer? And this same question applies to every team which makes me think Detroit isn't going to get much for him.

It looks like you been hanging out in the Mock Trade Deadline thread!

You're right in that they shouldn't give up an asset for him when they can just sign him.  Only reason Philly might give up an asset for Bradley is if they perhaps have other moves up their sleeves that could tie up future salary.  Then acquiring him now would be wise to use bird right to resign him.

I could see a deal where the Pistons trade Bradley, Boban and a first to the Magic for Evan Fournier, then the Magic sell Avery to the highest bidder.

I couldn’t really at this point.  Trade deadline is 10 days away, and the Magic will want to see that Bradley is healthy before executing a deal, as will whomever they send him to separately.  Not enough time for that many physicals.  Maybe it could happens as a 3-way deal, but I think payroll concerns for the Pistons will limit that as well.

Funny I was writing this just as I saw the latest woj bomb. So much for payroll concerns with the Pistons amirite?  :)

Add Avery to the growing list of talented but flawed players who looked much better here because of our coaching staff's ability to maximize their skills while masking their deficiencies.

We're not unique though, another well-run successful team could use him effectively too. Hope he finds his way to one.

TP ...bingo.....CBS i sthe new POPs .....making great players out of role players ......anywhere else they are simply average .

No, I meant your proposal would put the Pistons into the luxury tax.  The Clippers deal does not.

I think it was stated in some report BUT no one knew that DET truly wanted to entertain offers for him until this morning I believe.

But yeah I guess preliminary discussions have been going on for days between just the GMs.

LOL so NOW Bradley is eligible to be traded to Boston.

Won't happen, but still...

The Warriors would be PETRIFIED if we somehow got AB back.  He automatically makes whoever he guards a non-factor whether it's Klay or Curry.

So I know there is a 60 day wait to trade a player you just traded for, but that only applies to salary matching trades?

As in, Ainge can’t trade, say, Morris for Bradley... but CAN trade the DPE and a pick for him?

Interesting. If no Reke or Lou, I can see Danny kicking the tires on this. He’s as reliable a defender as there is, and a much more consistent shooter than anyone else besides Irving.

Imagine getting Hayward back and Bradley! It’s a free Morris.
