I am hesitant trading brown(for AD) now

If we gonna trade for a Freak/Kawhi or AD it will start with AL(salary)+Brown+1first
After dotay's game Brown has me confident his talent is enough to compete and shine against best opponent (two warrior game and those cavs game)
So you have that, and you have to consider his durability, our own-draft and grown star (we got KI,AL and Brad, it's a excellent enviroment for growth) status and what other pieces we will need to send out for

AD:injury prone, big red flag for playoff contention

This above make me think the trade is not going to be worth it

I say we just ride this team, even if after 5 year and we find out it don't work we can still trade those guys and will still be a top free agent destination(and trading AL or even Hayward will surely hurt that) and just keep on contending year after year, i think it will be the best way

I’d drive Brown to NO if we’d be getting Davis with him as centerpiece.  But alas, that would not be nearly enough.

From what I have heard the offer should be something like: Horford, Tatum, and maybe Smart or Rozier + picks for AD and Asik.

Even though I would find it really hard to give up Horford and Tatum, and taking on Asiks contract I still think I would do the deal any day.

Then we can keep Brown until we need him for the Leonard-trade! :-)

I have seen nothing that suggests Davis is even on the market right now. Talking heads on the TV and radio love to speculate, but there has never once been any substantive rumor suggesting NOP plans on moving him.

And even if they did put Davis on the market, Boston really isn't in a great position to trade for him right now. The fact is, they don't have the salary to match his contract without sending out Horford. Trading for Davis would decimate our roster, as it would likely cost us Horford, Tatum or Brown (possibly both), and at least the Lakers/Kings pick.

That's the unfortunate reality of having a roster with no really bad, large contracts.

Ya i like Brown better than most, but I'd still trade him for Davis. Many consider Tatum untouchable, but I'd also trade him for Davis. The chances that those guys turn into an Anthony Davis level player are small, even if I believe they will be all stars. What I'm not doing is trading both.

Danny ALWAYS buy low and sell high, right now Tatum and Brown stock is low but rising and AD's stock is very high, he will wait til Davis demand trade or contract ending and Pilicans will have no choice but to take the best offer available which won't be that much anymore

I'll say this, against the Cavaliers and Warriors, Jaylen seems to have his best games then.

AD isn't available. Neither are the Freak and Leonard, but hey, Irving wasn't available until he was in July, so who knows. I think trading for AD is an issue because of gutting the team to match salaries, but hypothetically for Giannis or Leonard, it could be possible.
