Woj says Cavaliers and Lakers are serious on a trade and could be close.

Could CLE get Clarkson, Nance & Randle while Lakers get salary (2 bad contracts?), and Cavaliers Own 2018 First Rounder.
This looks like a "let's get some youth and dump some salary because Lebron is gone" trade

Bye bye IT

Yeah, I could see an LA trade involving IT. I’ve always said that’d be a good landing spot for him, though surely that’d mean no Lebron in the summer.

Clarkson and Nace heading to the Cavs, don't know whos going out. Woj

Does anyone else think Isaiah could be involved in the Clarkson deal

I'm hearing it's Isaiah Thomas, Channing Frye, and the Cavs first to Lakers for Clarkson and Nance.

Clarkson and Nance to Cleveland, not sure for who though.

Helps their bench scoring, which they don’t really need, and does nothing for their defense lol

Yes.  IT mentioned not wanting to get traded again and that he like being on the Cavs since they had a chance at the championship.  Lakers could shutdown IT for the season.

Crazy. Good for IT, though!

This is a decent move for Cleveland that gets them younger while still allowing them to somewhat compete this year. Still doesn’t really help their terrible D, but they get younger and more athletic, which is good. I still don’t think this gets them past Boston or Toronto, though.

Best thing about this is that unless they somehow get another first round pick, Cleveland can’t trade the Brooklyn pick now, which means this is probably the team they’re ending the season with.

Anyone really think Clarkson and Nance are going to turn Cleveland into a team that can beat both Boston and Toronto to come out of the East? I don’t think so.

This LA-Cav trade, to me, seems like, from the Cavs end, a move to clean up the dissention in the locker room(in other words get rid of IT who might have been a bit of a cancer there) and a move to get younger for when Lebron leaves. Getting two really young players with zero playoff experience, doesn't sound like a move to get the Cavs over the hump and into the Finals.

Wait really???  ;D  :o

(Sighs large breath of relief)

I thought now they could dangle it for Kemba or Jordan, but I guess not unless it's a 3-team deal (doubtful one happens though).

Now I really want us to nab Tyreke Evans.

Come on Danny, make it happen (somehow)!

I don't think it will happen but they could do a pick swap with the Nets pick.

I do think it will help (not a lot) the Cavs chances in the East.  Getting rid of all the IT drama is a plus by itself.  Clarkson and Nance are pretty good bench players and they have been playing decent defense this season.
