I'll give IT a pass. He loved being a Celtic and he had a rough year in non-basketball ways...
He's not perfect, but oh well..
TP.
Broken teeth.....ripped up hip...........dead sister....he played through it all, to his own detriment. Heart as big as Russell and Cowens and Bird and Pierce.........Huge.
Lotta love in that big heart....lotta pain too....unrequited love..it is that female dog.
Loved being a C, the fans, his teammates, the city.....and we would not be in the position that we (the franchise) are in today if it wasn't for him and what Danny was able to do because of him.
Given all of the above, IT is entitled to be angry, and....... for awhile. The more you love, the more you hurt, right?
If IT wasn't injured and played from the start of this season, this anger would've dissipated a while ago, like it's starting to now.
Isaiah Thomas on return to Boston: "I almost walked that way in their locker room. No, I love this city, I love this organization. They've given me the opportunity to be who I always wanted to be ... Like I always said, it's genuine love. And that's for the rest of my life here."
Let the guy have his year of bitterness...it's out of love.
Agree completely.
To distill it down, IT is catching a lot of crap because he cared too much....and still does.
Give me a friend, give me a player like that EVERY time, and I'll take the baggage that goes along with the passion and loyalty and devotion the he brings as wells the anger he might feel (rightly or wrongly) about being betrayed.
All the best, IT....EXCEPT against us. Hope the Brinks truck rolls up to your door, just not at our expense
