Does anybody else remember the throwbacks they wore the first season with KG ('07-08)?  Basically, the '60s road jerseys where the green was shinier & the Boston was curved?   

Those were pretty sweet.

I must be mistaken then, because I thought the only difference between the C's modern road jerseys and those throwbacks was the fact they said "Boston" instead of "Celtics".

The font & the curvature of the "Boston" are different.  I thought the shade of green was lighter too but not real clear from this.

Definitely awesome. There is a great Zach Lowe article up on ESPN at the moment about how brave the Jazz were with their new ones. I wish management had done the same, and referenced stuff about New England, or Celtics history

They need to stop messing with the Celtics jersey.  It's the best basketball jersey period - and that's not a Celtic bias, it was voted as such across NBA fans.

Agree with all of your post. Soccer sleeves were terrible. The Adidas jerseys were much better than these Nikes that tear like paper mache.



But... if we're going to have an alternate - I love the grey. Much better than black in my mind.

Putting the historic and beloved parquet floor pattern on the Celtics jersey is about as stupid as when Tennessee put the fabled orange-and-white checkerboard endzone pattern on their new football uniforms. It is overkill and it looks contrived.

Please - just home whites, road greens and maybe the St. Patrick uniforms for special occasions.

Nike is ditching the St Paddys version with gold/yellow trimmings which is sad...I wish they just made those the main City editioninstead  of these grey ones..I dont exactly like embut its better than last yr sleeved ones.

They really out to show the gold more as its one of the primary colors of the Cs..the leperchaun even wears gold vest.

Should have justpaid homage to the 80s team when they used to wear nice warm up jackets..and based these uniforms from those lettering and trimming.

I’m a purist. I find nothing better than a clean, simple, white and green jersey.

But, these grey jerseys are great in my opinion. The parquet. The clover. Red’s signature. The 10-year anniversary tribute.

It’s innovative and edgy.

It’s honestly the best Nike jersey I’ve seen this year.
